Hi Im Paul from california, trying to decide which super moto bike to buy. any help would be appreciated
Hey guys. Josh from Kentucky. Been riding Japanese sportbikes for years. This is my first Husqvarna, new 08' SM510R. WooHoo
Welcome aboard Flyin. You've got that wr300 at right spot on you're list. I've been looking to add one to my stable too.
Hey stuntnut, good to have you aboard. I'm kind of like you, my biggest and best stunts are pretty spur of the moment to.
Hi Paul, welcome aboard I moved a couple of you're posts from the introductory thread to the 610 part of the forum. Rajo
Names Ben. Just got a new 2009 510 TE. First Husky. Loving it so far but can't figure out how to remove the throttle block. Is 09 diff. than 08? Doesnt look the same as the posts already on here. Thanks
Welcome Ben! I see you already have a thread regarding the throttle stop removal http://www.cafehusky.com/forums/showthread.php?p=27227#post27227 Just in case anyone else wants to help you out they now know where to look.
Newbie Thanks for the welcome. I'm new to the site, and I'm a new Husky owner, since I bought a '93 TE610 today. It was a long distance sale, it's in California in the SF bay area, and I'm in British Columbia, about 80 mi north of Vancouver. I'm not new to bikes, I've been riding for more than 40 years, with some roadracing thrown in. I currently own two ATK's - I like Rotax air-cooled singles - and I bought a big-bore XR650L as a ride for visiting relatives and friends. The idea of the old 610 appealed to me, and I've played with dellorto carbs on Ducatis. The plan is to fly to Sacramento or Oakland and then ride back on the PCH. I've ordered a "sweet cheeks" seat pad, to help keep monkey butt at bay. It will also help extend the range, which I'm told is probably not more than 80 mi on the skinny main tank. I look forward to living with the 610, I figure it will be a good trial run and eventual back-up for a newer Husky, and then I can get rid of the BRP!
Oakland is a great airport with transportation available via bus to 'BART', the local subway/train system that can get you to many places! Start up a thread in the Main forum and keep us posted on your trip, maybe I'll get a chance to buy you a cup of coffee
Hello, all I’m new to Café Husky, I just traded my 04’ 250x for a 09’ TE 450 (power up kit installed) so far I love this thing. I think it is geared a little too tall for the single track trail riding I do in Idaho. Stace
Welcome to the Cafe. Would love to see some pics of the bike and the terrain you ride. Idaho has some awesome riding.
Welcome Stace! We have a few members from Idaho, hope the weather is improving. Probably the best place to ask about gearing might be the 4st section, we also have a ride report section if you want to show off your area, or even this main forum for talking about nothing in particular.
Intro & '09 TE310 street legal in Canada?? Hi, I'm a new member that is returning to off-road riding after a long layoff. I grew up racing mx in the 80's and had to leave the sport for typical reasons (university, career, kids, et al...). I live in Ontario Canada and would like to know if the '09 TE 310 (or any TE for that matter) is street legal in Canada?? Have these bikes past homologation for Canada?? Best regards, Max
Hi Max! Welcome to Cafe Husky I'm not sure about the Canada stuff, maybe ask in the 4st section? There are others from Canada that might know.
Welcome Mike! I'll assume you are a vintage enthusiast Here is a thread in the vintage section he started on the same subject in case someone has an answer: http://www.cafehusky.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2590
Hi I'm the same tm_enduro that is all over the motorcycle boards. I live in Washington state and ride woods primarily. I used to race, preferring technical courses (such as survival enduros) and WEC type events, and despised hare scrambles / GNCC / WORCS type races. I'm pretty opinionated about what I like and dislike. I like all sizes of bikes from 125s to 500+ thumpers, and have even contemplated getting a Fantic 50cc enduro, just for kicks.
Welcome to CafeHusky, tm_enduro I, too, like posting on several other forums. You might notice that this place plays a bit different than most of the other forums. We're a pretty mellow self-policing bunch here and, as such, don't require as many rules as those other places Are you still considering the new TC250? WoodsChick
