    Hello

I would just like to introduce myself and say hello to everyone. I am new to Supermoto but not new to motocross or street bikes. I have a new 07 SMR510. Trying to get to know this bike and make it as good as it can be. Looking for popular mods and fixes for stock problems. I have already learned quite a bit from just reading through the forum. Thanks. I look forward to my membership.

    Hi all!
Finally, after 7 years without a 360cc, I bought a '96 2 weeks ago. I live in Sweden, ride street and enduro. Likes husky! :) Too bad parts seems more and more difficult to find. I'd love to have a workshop manual but they seem impossible to find. I rebuild the engine with new gaskets, bearings and soon new piston (thinking about order a Wossner from Husqvarna Outlet) and powder coated frame, pegs, kickstand. Had a workshop TIG-weld some engine block cracks. Fitted new swing arm bearings and replaced some rusty bolts here and there. Soon, this bike will be perfect :)

    Future plans:
1999 plastics, decal and seat cover (anyone know where I can get it?)
    Slim line rear light

Welcome Arthur! I had a BMW Dakar that I thought was a pretty capable bike in the dirt.

Everything I've read about the Strom says it's a little more street oriented than the Dakar.

the 610 is LIGHT YEARS ahead of the Dakar on dirt. Not quite as comfy on the street, but perfectly passable. And I think the stuff I don;t like can be fixed. If I was driving from CA to Florida on highways, with an occasional gravel road I'd want a stom or a GS.

If I was doing the TAT and an occasional rabbit trail, then the 610.

I wanna go to Baja and beyond, the 610 is ideal I think.

    Husky Heroe promo

Greg here, huskynext, also with the first post, better late then never. Anybody heard about an update to the Husky Heroes cash incentive program and whether or not they extended after 7/1? Had to buy a new FLT this year and it slowed down my 310 purchase. Glad to be here.

    Hey all

    G'day all,

I thought i'd better do the right thing a introduce myself.

I'm Stossy (Chris) I live in Melbourne, Australia

I have been a Husky rider a 5 yrs now, I had a 2004 TE250 with a Athena 300 kit in it. Still manage to ride the pants off it so i sold it & just picked up a 2009 TE 450 now, maybe this will teach me not to be so hard on bikes:lol:

Great info on here Coffee, I was stoked to read about the little cable tie around the fuel pump tip..

    Cheers all

Hello, Skyldig :) Welcome to Cafe Husky and good luck with your "new" `96!

Hello, Arthur/6Ten! Lots of 610 riders here that can tell you about the 610's strengths and weaknesses. I ride an SV650 every day and have done a fair amount of dirt miles on it (it's filled in on a few dualsport rides in its day ;)) and I can tell you my SM610 is way more fun in the dirt, yet just as capable on the highway. Good luck in your search!

We're glad you're here, Foxhunter :applause: If all I did was supermoto I'd have a 510 for sure instead of my SM610. Please be sure to post up some pictures of the 510 when you get it

Ooh! Bend! Land of those crazy Bend Dualsporters  You live in paradise, my friend :) Welcome to Cafe Husky, TomCat

Hi, huskynext  I haven't heard anything about the program being extended, but you can be sure that if it does there will be an announcement about it here :)

Hi, Stossy :aussy: Glad to see you here at Cafe Husky :applause:
