My name is Dusty right now I'am on a KTM 2 stroke and recently rode a 450 and found that I liked it so now I'am on a quest to find the right bike for me. I like single track, tight woods, technical [reiter] and high mountain riding, with a mix of hare scrambles and desert riding thrown in. Hopefully this site will help me make an informed choice on my next motorcycle purchase.

Good morning to you too! After some digging I figured out you are Randy from this KDR Power Sports. http://www.kdrpowersports.com/ Just a heads up, we try to keep Cafe Husky a little more complete than other forums so things make sense. Glad to meet you at the dealer meeting!
Hi all! Nice to see a forum dedicated to Huskys! Help required already, I have a TE 250 '06 with no spark. All the obvious things tried, eg kill, plug, cable, wiring...Anyone experienced similar problem? Are they know for generator or CDI problems, Husky Sport said not, but also cant supply the readings to test it, anyone know them please? Thanks

Hi, I'm Henrik from Sweden (on the other side of the Atlantic). Just bought a 2007 TE610IE, with only 460km on the ODO, in mint condition. Looking forward to see this forum grow. Regards Henka
Nice to have you here, dustyxc Good luck in your search for a new motorcycle! Welcome to CafeHusky, thenewbe Sorry, but a lot of us here are older and don't really converse in the shorthand "text" lingo. Check out the 610 forum for information on your TE, and good luck with the motor Good morning, RRW! Looks like maybe I'm not the only one that hits "submit reply" before I'm ready Hope you enjoy your time here on CafeHusky WoodsChick

Thanks for the great greeting, I have a 05 tc 250 a real cream puff, found it with less than 19 hours on it a fast by Ferracci pakage, I sold my YZf 250 as fast as I could, It took me 8 months to dial in the yz and took me 8 hours (with all your mods and hints) to dial in the Husky, great old school feel, (wish I had your te flywheel). I have been riding as a kid and last year the wife wanted a dirt bike (crf100 for 50 b-day). my son -14 is on a kx100 and boy do I miss a two stroke. Again thanks for letting in be a part of all this, emerson 521
New Just bought a new 2009 Husky 450TE from Dan @ MotoExotica. Rode Husky's religiously from 1968 to 1988 and I've got one im my garage again.
Hi, I'm Jonathan, I'm in the UK and after ten years without a proper dirtbike I'm just getting to grips with an '04 TE450 (and shocking myself at how unfit and slow I've become...) The previous owner had the valve upgrade done and it's running really sweetly. A brand new one would be cool, but at least I don't have to worry about that first crash as it's pretty scuffed already! Huskies are still a pretty well-kept secret here in Britain so this and other forums have provided a wealth of setup information as well as a way of sourcing hard to find parts (and of course it's nice to be able to swap stories with like-minded people). Looking forward to chewing the fat with y'all.
Welcome Jonathan! Hmmm, "7point62" and a TE450; I take it you like things which can provide a real kick in the pants! So well kept that it was only when I started actively looking at getting one I found out Husky Sport was so close that if I was two feet taller I'd probably be able to see the top of their building from here. And they're just off one of the best biking roads in the area which I've ridden many times; handy enough that I often pop in now just for a free coffee and a chat (which somehow always seems to end up being quite expensive once I start looking at bling/spares/shirts/beach towels/mugs/hats/etc ). Enjoy the Husky (it'd be hard not to). Pete
Hello all, I'm a 40 year old enduro and hare scramble rider. After 3 KTMs (02 250 EXC, 07 525XCW and 08 250XCF) I wanted to try a 450 that offered both electric start and a kicker...this week I'll be the owner of an 09 450 TXC. Tim
made the change back I started with a TE350, but was tired of kicking it in the heat...went to a bike that had a red button (my 2004 crf250x which i still have & love). I needed a bike that my kid (15.5 at the time) & I could dual sport & bought (2) 2008 WR250R's when they first came out which we loved (I wanted the F/I) & did not want a race bike. I did all the modes and it just wasn't enough...OK, I'm 5'10", 47 yrs old, over weight & outer shape so the WR250R was a bit of a stretch for me on the street -- great on the trails, but not at 65 MPH. My kid know owns my WR250R and I bought a used 2008 TE610 last month that had 600 miles on it. I put 1,000 miles on the bike and just starting to learn how to let it slide through corners -- it's a different animal, but I LOVE it. George took care of the improvements and the poor set-up from Malcolm Smiths. I never thought I would be back on a Husky after the multiple of time kicking the bike in the middle of the desert, but the 610 was the obvious choice for me.
