New kid (old) 53 yrs old on the block From what I have read on CH site I'm glad to be part of it. My first Husky was a 76 CR360. I ran aviation fuel in a well warmed over ride. 390s and 400s did not like to see me show up. Oh well I sold it for a KZ1000 LTD Kaw and really went crazy. Those days are gone. Now I have a 76 250WR and a 85 WR/XC water cooled that require my attention. Hope I can help with problems and tech info.
'06 TE 610 in Minnesota I just bought an '06 TE 610. It has a modified stock muffler that is a little loud for my taste, so I'll be looking for a stock replacement muffler. Otherwise, I'm really looking forward to putting some miles on my new bike. I also own both a KLR 650 and a DRZ 400, and I'm hoping the Husky will replace them both. Paul Streeter
Welcome to Cafe Husky. What aftermarket exhaust do you have? There may be options for a DB killer that will make it more tolerable.
Howdy I'm Matt, I bought a used 04 TE450 from a well known Husky rider out of the East Bay. I've enjoyed the Husky for the past year + and I'm here to learn more about maintenance, parts, etc.. My bike has a Reckluse, GPR stabilizer, triple clamp, and all the recommended guards. I ride with a large group of friends as well as all of our kids. Unfortunately I'm the only Husky rider and many of my Honda X buddies love to heckle the Husky. I guess I need to let them take it for a ride but then I'd have to pull over and wait for them. For any of you that make trips up to Georgetown, Mammoth Bar, or the Foresthill area take a look for me on the trails. Here is a recent trip we made out to Idaho. Thanks for the great site.
New to this Hi ladies and gentlemen I am asked to introduce myself here, so here it is. I live in sweden, northern parts, work as a salesmanger, have a wife and son, end next child in the owen... I started my career as a dirtbike rider far to late. I have always been interested in dirtbikes but didnt for various reasons buy one until i was 33, an now i am 40. Since that, it has been my biggest interest. I started my riding on a slow and heavy yamaha ttr 600, i dont know why I bought it?? My next bike was av 2003 KTM 525 MXC, a little better but not ideal for a begginer, big motor lot of power and thight snotty, rocky singel tracks are not ideal. I was afraid most of the time. But determinde to learn to go faster. My next bike was supposed to be a KTM exc 400, but for some reason i let my dealer fool me, so I came home with a 450 instead. Still far to much power, but I convinced myself that it was right. In that time I was riding about 150hrs/year so the learning curve was steep. I becam faster and faster, but no pro though. When I look in the rearwiev mirror i can see that the KTMĀ“s didnt fit my style, size and riding. My next bike made me feel at home, and is the singel thing that has made the most inpact on my riding speed, exept hours in the saddle of course. The bike was the 2008 Husky Te 250. Great bike, controllabel power, ergonomics that fitted me and suspension that no KTM can match ever! I really loved it and had 100 lovely hours until the motor blew up, an exhust valve broke on full trottle att the mx track and made salad of the cylinderhead, piston, cylinder and crankshaft, bad luck. I was not happy and took it to my dealer in pieces. A few bucks later i returned home with a new and shiny Wr300. My first 2-stroke, new expirience. Its a lovely piece of work, but i needed to adapt and get new skills, like more efficient braking skills...the lack of "motorbraking" in 2-strokes caused me some crashes in the beginning. The god thing is that a smoker forces you to brake, and be more active. I wish that i hade started witha a 2-stroker. 4-strokers is so forgiving and easy, you get lazy and can be pretty fast with lacking tecnuiqe. A 2 stroker forces you to learn more faster. Now i ride with less "rollingtime", gas for longer times and more effective braking. The possible downside is that I need to be fitter because a 300 takes its toll so i have to spend more hours in the gym or running if i want to last for a good 2 hours of competition. That is becoming more and more difficult because the family is groving, the time is limited and so on, but i will not stop riding. And I hope that in a few years i can start coaching my own little husky team
hi all im from sydney australia (GIDAY MATE) and have just bought a 09 te 510 and i am learning alot with this forum its great...
Hello, just dropping by to say hello as I've been sending you out RFX Gear Levers for your bikes from DirtBikeBitz I'd also like to say thanks to petem for the nice words! All the best Dave
It's amazing how many new friends were making in both Europe and Oz. Welcome aboard and hope you enjoy time at Cafe Husky.
It is a modified stock muffler. I'm not sure exactly what was done to it, but it is about 6" shorter than stock, with the stock end cap.
I got my bike stand and t-wrenches from you - good stuff btw!. I'll be ordering one of them there gear levers too (just as soon as I work out what other shiny bits I need). Welcome to the forum.

JCH4, South Carolina, ride a 1992 Husqvarna 350WXE. Getting back into riding after a good many years away. Plan to compete in some rallyes and pre-run Baja. Glad I found this source and appreciate any and all advice.
Had multiple Hondas but the last I owned/rode was around 1986 and a late 70s Husky 250CR that had lights for enduro. Bought it from my cousin and the reason puchased current Husky.
