Welcome to Cafe Husky Judin. It's amazing how many younger people are begining to warm up to the 610.
Hello, this is Alan or NW kook(surfer term for newbie), from Oregon. I bought my TE 250 2008 in Jan 2008. I ride Oregon and Washington trails. Also, welcome to Ole/Judin from 1/2 a day away in Norway.
KTM newb on the hunt for a TXC Thanks for hosting me. I am a doe hard Orange guy, I roll an 09 300 XC but have really got the Husky bug in the last couple months. Hope to be on a '10 450 - 510 TXC someday in the not so far off future. I rode Droolsprts TE recently and thought it had a ton of potential.
Hi there this forum is great I am a first time Husky buyer and working on getting it in better shape. I have a 1982 CR250
so I've done some browsing and I like what I see. Thanks to those that keep this forum up and running. My name is Matt and I'm in Boston, Mass and ride an 08' SM610.
new husky owner Hi Everyone Just got my 09 wr 300 from Bill's in Salem(Awesome buying experence).I have a couple questions: on gearing it seams a little tall geared for single track,It seems alot of guys are running 13/50 I am thinking of going 12/48 because it is cheaper and not much different, any clearence issues with this? Second question , I have the power up needle what clip position are you guys running. Thanks Tim
The smaller the front sprocket, the faster the drive chain wears. I think that's why people don't run a front sprocket that small usually. So, it might not be cheaper in the long run to use a 12t up front.
New Husky Owner Here I just sold my 2007 Honda CBR600rr 2 days ago, and picked up a 2009 SM510R yesterday, and LOVE it! Can't wait to read up on these forums and hopefully answer some questions I have, like this stalling problem i have (apparently because it came with some sort of power-up kit?) Regardless, greetings from Pennsylvania!
Welcome to Cafe Husky Shane. You would be surprised how many people come off sport bikes and get into SM. There is lots of good info here and many people ready to help. It would be a good idea to post whatever ills you're bike is experiencing in the discussion thread. That's where you can get the best feedback. Please give plenty of info about you're bike and I'm sure people will jump on board with suggestions. Again Welcome
WoodsChick..........Sorry for my late response but you had asked where we rode up in Idaho......This year we went up to Cascade lake for about a week and rode mostly logging roads. Last year we took a trip to Salmon Idaho. They have a very large mx track that reminds me of Glen Helen/Hangtown. Except my kids and I were the only riders which was great.
Sitting back with a cuppa............... Hi guys, sat back here with a nice espresso on a sunny Sunday morning, cheers Got myself a TE610 a couple of months ago which is used for green laning in the Peak District near where I live and Hill Climbing (sprint climbs on tarmac) when it's wearing it's SM wheels. Looking forward to getting to know the site, in the mean time here's some gratuitous piccies of the bike: Cheers Andres
Welcome to Cafe Husky dapperdanner. Where do you ride? Welcome CrazygoNutsGuy. Glad you're on board. Welcome TROFFER88. Lots of threads on the WR300 in 2 Stroke. Post up a new thread or just read up on the old ones great information in there.
Hello all, 1st time posting. I am ole fart rider. Got a couple of bikes, TE250 2008, KDX200 1990, DL650 Suzuki 2004. Had others before. The TE250 is a great offroad and enduro bike and street legal besides. I like it because I can pick it up if I drop it, it has the e-button start and if I do have to kick start it does not thrash my knee (I had to sell the XR400 because of the knee issue). Cafe Husky seems like a great place to learn about things Husqvarna. There are not many of us Husky riders out here ... Orange color bikes are more popular, so listening to others with Husky's is a big help. Hope to see some of you riding.
Welcome to Cafe Husky OffroaderChris. We might be a fairly small band right now but we are growing fast.
Hello, My name is Fred and I am from Sacramento, California. My first post so I hope I am doing this right. I am a first time Husky owner, having just bought a vintage bike a few weeks ago. It is a 1980 250 OR. I haven't had a bike in many years and it is time to get back in the hobby before I get too old. I think the vintage Huskys can be beautiful and I like the long legged, clean simple looks of the late 70's to early 80s models. I plan to get a new bike too, but wanted this one. I had read about the ORs and seen a few ads on ebay, and when this one showed up on the local Craigslist I took a look and got it for $900. I found this site while doing a Google search for information on vintage Huskys. It should be a great resource.
Yep Fred you did it right and you've come to the right place, we have a great vintage section here that is constantly compiling more info and specs. Welcome to the Cafe. Very nice looking bike.
