thanks John - good to see a forum dedicated to the trusy "H"..... not sure how I hadn't found it before!
I've been checking the site as I try to decide which bike to buy. I ride in Washington State (snotty roots, rocks and hills) and am looking to replace an XR250 -99. Want to get a bike with a plate but one that's light and has enough uumph to pull my sorry 180# up a steep hill at 5,000 FT. I have short inseam (30") and the XR fit very nicely with a 36" seat height. Primary choice is a 2010 TE310...but $8k is a little scary/scarce right now. Second choice is a 2009 TE 250 for $5.5k but it has the "old" motor and may not be powerful enough < Guess Third is a 2010 TE 250 with the new light weight motor but if I'm gonna drop $8k shouldn't I get the 310? The info on this site is a great resource. Thanks PS: Can't wait to show up my buddies and their orange bikes when I finally do decide.
Welcome to the site and to get a good answer to your questions you may want to ask it in the 4stroke section.
Right on! One can never have too many bikes in the garage Welcome to CafeHusky, Grady Do the meds really work? I only have one Husky in my garage but I've been really hankering for another...maybe I need a prescription! Welcome to the forum, Fat Tire Flyer, and be sure to post some photos of your bike(s) in the 2 stroke forum Nice to have you here, SteveH Welcome to CafeHusky, 81husky! Sounds like the Vintage Forum might be your new hangout CafeHusky welcomes you, Tighttwisties. I've not ridden the 310 or the 250, but bigger isn't always better. I'm sure the difference wouldn't be so great between the 250 and the 310, but I know I was faster and could ride harder for a longer period of time on my 250 than I could my 450. I'm sure there will plenty of opinions/answers to your questions, and we have a few Husky riders here from your neck of the woods, too WoodsChick
Hi I've been viewing for about 2 years but never posted on the site. Started riding a DKW 125 (2 stroke, leading link front forks) in the early 70's. After a number of years off bikes for skiing, wife, children and work I am now riding again; but happily with more time and money for skiing, wife, children, work, bike, etc. Sold my 07 TE 610 in January and got a new 09 TE 510 as it is more suitable to my needs. At 53, but with the mind of my youth, I'm just over half way there. So there's lots more riding to do on this great bike and my next husky. Living on a property (farm) in Australia and next to a state forest, there's lost of great places to ride. I'm blessed, and my Husky just adds to that. Stefan
Hi everyone. I'm a old newbie in Central PA. Its been 34 years since I owned an MC. My last MC was a Penton 250. For you younger folks, John Penton imported KTM's into the USA and put his name on the MCs. In the interim, I have been riding/racing mountainbikes as well as whitewater kayaking ( Class 3 easy Class 4 rapids). I also raced bicycles in the National Senior Games for over 50 year old athletes. I will be picking up my 2009 Husky 250 TE next week. I am anxious to get back into riding. Its amazing to see all of the technology changes. Additionally I have received so much advice, help and knowledge from current bikers. Everyone is willing to share their expertise if asked. Thanks for the site.
Hello everyone! This is my first post on Cafe Husky. I picked up my bike a few months back thanks to the folks here at this forum. I was able to find all the info I needed from all the great posts of those who know and love Husky's. After much research and a great dealership over at MFI, I decided to purchase an 09 TE450. I could not be any happier. Again, thanks to all for sharing their wealth of knowledge and experience about Husky's on this great forum.
I think it was the beginning of the new generation of husqvarna bikes 2001-2002 It looks like is a rare model, no one appears to know it.....
Hi everyone, trailboss here. I have a 2009 WR300 that I bought to try endurocross with. Use to race motocross on a RM250, but really like mountain riding and have started having fun with this new style of racing.
Hey, Never owned a motorcycle although I've ridden a bit and really like the idea of having a dual sport but realistically it will probably be ridden 50/50 on road/off road, if that. I like the idea of more exploring riding than single track so I don't think it will be too big of a deal. I like to do all the research before I get into something even though I mostly likely wont get a bike till after I graduate :/. I really like what I am seeing from Husky in the TE category although its not the only bike I'm been looking into but it is on top for sure. Thanks, Devin Dowdy Vallejo, CA
New to forum & have rear wheel question. I have a '96 WXE250 with very loose r. wheel bearings. The sprocket side bearing has a threaded retainer. Can anyone tell me if this is r h or l h threads? Thanks.
I'm new to the Husky bug but I like it! I just picked up a '95 wxe350 for a steal. Plan on going riding for the first time this weekend. Always had Jap bikes before when I was younger. Now I'm old and fat and just wanting to have a good time. Thank you all for sites like this and Thumpertalk
Hi! I'm new to the forum, but I just bought an '08 TE510 so I'm sure I'll be spending some time here. I'm looking to upgrade my bike with a 3.0 gal IMS tank and a Motosportz damper. Does anyone know if they are compatible?
