Hi All, I own several 80's vintage Huskys. 1982 250WR, 1984 250WR, 1985 400WRX, and 1986 400WR as well as various pieces in between. I am working on restoring the above to display condition and durable enough finishes to ride as well
Hi all! Been riding dirtbikes about 13 years. All my kids have bikes but I am bikeless right now. I got on this forum to ask a few questions on Husky vs. KTM. Owned several KTM's in the past, the last being an 04 450exc and wondered how it compares to a 05 TE 450. Thanks, Slowzuki
Hey all, Name is Simon, live in SF, CA - just re-entering motorcycling (37 years old), just picked up a '09 TXC 250. Will no doubt be hitting you all up for info soon enough, so figured I should join the group. Cheers, Simon
New Member Hey, it's late but it's been a good day-WRBob gave me a great deal on his 2009 WR125. I have a small engine shop in Mount Pleasant, NC and when I'm not wrenching, I'm riding. This is my first Husky and I've heard great things about them and I can't wait to get some seat time. Philbilly Other bikes: 2001 TM300EN (for sale), 2003 Honda CR125R (for sale)
Greetings fellow Husky afficionados. Earlier this month purchased a 1 owner 2009 TE 610 IE with very low km's on clock. Rode the 400km home in a heavy rain storm with a mate following/leading in his VW van. Husky Speedo giving seriously incorrect readings (82kph when actually doing 100kph) and a nasty front end / head shake at some speeds. The notorious side stand collapsed on me when "securely" parked with the motor off. Had to remove it and noticed a break of 180 or so degrees around the tube below a weld point suggesting metal failure. The speedo and side stand issues are with my local Husky agent along with my letter to the Australian Importer/Distributor making a warranty claim on these failings. I have replaced the original Karoos with Metzler Saharas and noticed a great improvement in road manners (much less shake) but will look at balancing the wheels and checking the steering head bearings. Plan to get a 2nd set of rims and tyres together so have serious off road and "universal" capacity. A steering damper purchase will be a last resort...but if I have to then... Still am pleased with my purchase and in process of setting it up - love the Husky design and general high quality equipment.
