Hes right though, they are "re-starters" when egine warms, unless it has no kick.

Ha Ha! That's awesome, when they make something that's not worth a crap then re-name it "re-starters"..... I suppose Beta and Sherco can still call theirs starters.

Quick somebody help me come up with a new name for 4cs forks.

Nothing wrong with brand pride i guess. But, i finished 6th outa 85 in sen2 class HS with my yamyz450f KYB, yes it was hard and dangerous with loose rock technical tracks but no money buys seat time for sure guys. Im hopeful we can remain constructive and help each other in sport we all work hard at

No one is saying the Beta and Shercos are perfect. But when you are paying top dollar for a apparently class leading motorcycle and it has a starter that only works sometimes and the fix for your fork is to convert it to a open chamber, it has to leave a bit of a bad taste in your mouth no?

Maybe we can start a brand specific whinge thread. Inversely we can have a brand fault excuses thread. I don't want to derail this further... but for the record i reckon if a starter is installed it should be designed to be used. Channeling my 'best' bike see Yahama TTR 250, only used the kick once or twice to make sure it worked. Same on my 2010 big block TE 310.

Borrowed a trr250 once in dominican republic to ride through the mountain roads, man that bike was fun, chain so terrible i thought for sure we would be kidnapped at some point. All kinds of bikes on road there, free for all.

Like my brother said once about ktm, when they have an issue they tend to just go with it for a while. Closed chamber was a head scratcher since i hear it has to be opened like ktms.

Good point, the yz450 already has the stator running in oil. (I thought I'd try to get back on topic before I get convicted of hijacking) :D

Im not in a hurry to go wet mod, just getting a data base and keep inspecting to watch wear, as far a starter i will do same, i passed on a Beta rr because i feel they are several years out on multiple parts venue availability. Starters on rr are better desighn. Sachs suspension instead of Zokis? Not sure about this. I love my husky, prob will do fork mod one day
