Google Chrome and AVG free also have Windows firewall of course. I also have a Killer NIC (network interface card) which has its own firewall. I'm on Windows 7.
Windows 7 Zonealarm firewall, anti-virus, internet security Firefox On xp I always used Zonealarm free firewall at a minimum with Avast anti virus Later upgraded to Zonealarm AV Zonealarm is NOT the most user friendly but if anything is accessing your system or the net you know about it and can shut it down before it happens.
