Aus$140.00 for the bracket. Includes all bolts and spacers. The cheapest place I could find the slider is HERE I have made 5. GrumpyShamurai has paid for the 1st. I have sent out messages to all who expressed interest. But as yet no reply. I will give those folks until Sunday. And then it's whoever pays first. I will be making more so feel free to place an order. The more orders, the quicker I can place the next order
Aux lights are next...Just no where easily to place them ... Have motech crash bars... Problem solving..Thats what we do ,eh lads??
Higher is better. there are a few different places you can mount them around the handlebars, around the dash area. Someone posted a pic of some handguard which had integrated 10w LEDs.
Here are a few bright ideas.... 1 CREE LED 20w (2 x 10w = 2000 lumen) fitted under the headlight 1 CREE LED U8 15w 3000 lumen (x2) fitted either side of dash Headlight changed to 55w Bi-Xenon HID Unit. Enough !!
Here is a screenshot from one of my ride videos. This is with the previous 'upper' LEDS which are not so powerful as the new U8s. I have some better 4x10w LEDs on the way too - Having good Lights is very necessary here in Philippines. I will do some shots showing the beam of each individual set of lights then all together.
I have looked into it and may just go back and look again. The biggest issue for me is getting a broach made to cut the splined hole. Cheapest quote was Aus$3500.00. Average was about Aus$6000.00 I would have to sell a LOT of levers to get that back. There are other methods to cut the splines. But they are laborious and time consuming making the part financially non/un-viable. I'll get back to you There are many options for spotlight mounts. I had a look and the simplest and easiest is to use a flat plate with 2 holes. 1 for the light. The 2nd as a spacer between the mirror stalk and the the mirror mounts. With in reason you can rotate it around to where you want it. The length would be dependent on the size of your lights body and interference with the mirror stalk. Using the lower triple is not really an option I feel as the plastics come too far forward
The Touratech shift lever actually works pretty well. It is very adjustable has the extra holes in it so that it will bend easily. I hit a big rock on a ride recently, and it folded up and bent into the shape of a U and saved the trans internals like it was supposed to.
The Touratech item is actually quite beefy (~4mm thick, which makes it 8mm for the stretch where the 2 halves overlap)....a bit too much for my liking as I consider levers to be like indicators = sacrificial. It would be easiest to just cut both the OEM-lever and an aftermarket flip-tip lever with sufficient overlap (very similar to the TT-item) then drill a few 4mm holes through both for adjustability.
Noobie here.. I'd be very interested in a tail tidy if one were to be produced. I got rear ended in the first few months of riding my Strada, smashing the rear up. Currently I have some folded steel riveted to the plastics holding the parts together, but it is slowly forming a bit of a wobble. A stock tail replacement I was quoted $110 for a while back and the R&G one looks like an expensive paperweight, so something decent quality would be great!
My chain guide arrived today and was on the bike in minutes. My BRP guide fit perfectly! Wonderful craftsmanship!
I ordered this guide a few years ago so the details of how I ordered are a bit foggy. But, I am sure it is model CGD-9222-BR1, for right hand drive. The photo on the BRP web site shows a "universal" block, for left or right, but I think it has to be fabricated for left or right. I will call BRP this morning to confirm how to order and post up. It's a nice piece!
Hey Aquatic, if your still taking ideas. Alloy dipstick with hex key access http://www.cafehusky.com/threads/need-to-know-the-length-of-the-dipstick.87251/ Every time I put the steering lock on I feel its exposed And that rear brake pedal is still as ugly as f#%k, lol
Anyone interested? Send me an email - craigkrantz@gmail.com I have Case Savers, Chain Guides and front fender braces that have been on the shelf for a while.
