maybe something to do with the aluminum bolt on the side that you have to pull to clean one of the screens.

Sorry, we dropped the idea when husky came out with their hi flo version. Maybe we would look into a small run with enough interest?
Get a WR 250 or 300. They come with a "Cheap, lasts long time, adjustable, easy to replace, did I say cheap, reliable." free with purchase of the rest of the bike. haha Sorry, pretty much no chance of a cable retrofit.
