Talked to a KTM dealer today that said once the red husky parts are gone that's all there is. Apparently there isn't any euro law forcing KTM to keep stock of parts for any length of time. Anyone else hard something like this? It will be a whole new level of nuts when the guys hear about this...

I'm still happy 6yrs later after buying a used 07 WR125,now a WB165. It has done everything I could ask from a bike and held up great. Most of my riding friends have already gone through multiple "orange" bikes, lots of $$$ and still aren't totally happy. It really bugs them every spring when I roll the same old bike off the trailer but it flat out works so why change?
    Best $2800 I ever spent!

Too funny! by me on any Saturday at the local trail head it's a sea of orange snobs on 300's,when I ride up on my Husky they look at me like I've got three heads! I love passing them down the trail on my WB165.

Ya know, all the BS aside with the PC and poking fun, riding anything is better than riding nothing at all.

Absolutely! Any riding is good riding. I'm taking both bikes tomorrow for a heads up comparison. Trying to compare different machines on different tracks on different days doesn't work!!

So true: for many kids the first bike is always remembered- may have had no other possible option/idea. I do not ride the same brand as I first purchased. Selected Hoosk in 1984 - still doin' it. And liking it.

I never thought of it being the same in North America. Males me feel a little better. So I rode both bikes today back to back and I was only on the Honda for 10 minutes.. Glad I did it to know for sure that the husky works well

I used to say that.... After driving many E-350 work box vans, when the Sprinter came to the US in '02, I was waiting for Ford to bring the Transit over. In '04 I needed to replace my work van and still no Transit, so I bought a new E-350. Unfortunately it was the worst Ford I ever owned and parked it (I still have it as no one would buy it) after 4 years instead of 6. I bought an '08 Sprinter and never looked back, buying another in '14. Best resale I ever had on a 6 year old van with 250,000+ miles on it too. M-B silver star doesn't look too bad to me.

On Huskys.... I ride them all... Swedish, Italian and Austrian. May seem like a cop out, as the Austrians now own Husky, but I'm done hating KTM. I own one now, with a '16 200 XC-W. I spent too many of the Italian Husky days, burning up energy raging on Orange bikes.

In the US, BMW destroyed the family feeling that Cagiva USA had with Husky, long before SP bought them and KTM USA took over the reins here. In Italy after the first German to run Husky, went too "Native".... BMW ran the Husky factory like a penal colony, with a lot of racist contempt for the Italians. They paid SP to take it, because they were too proud to sell or give it back to the Castiglioni family.

Italian Huskys are awesome.... enjoy them!

My 09 wr250 owes me nothing and since I bought it for $4,800 new its going to be difficult to lose. Even if I sell it for $1,500 I'm not going to lose what I would if I bought an 8k bike and sold it 7 years later. There wouldn't be a vintage bike culture if the "hurry up and sell it before they quit making parts" argument were true.
