Yes, it was worth it. I really like the power delivery and the way I fit on the bike. Honestly I can't even tell theres a 1 inch seat hieght differance from my old bike and the kick starter doesnt feel awkward at all. The only thing I fault is the shifter. The peg on the shifter feels short like it wants to slip off my toe.

30 bucks and an email to Motosportz will fix that! The Driven shifter has a longer peg. Much better imo.

HaHa, I told my wife the same thing, feeling like a bank robber. There are some good deals on the left over 2010 WR's. Just gotta search and make an offer, you never now what might happen. The WR300 I just bought last week was at a Honda dealer. They picked it up from a Husky dealer that went under (unfortunatley) and have been sitting on it for awhile. I made an offer and now this puppy is sitting in my garage :) right beside my son's pumpkin... and my RM

Since my wife started working from home she rarely drives anywhere so, she drove and had that Cummins drinking diesel like an alchohloic on friday after work! Left at4:10 back at 3:00 550 miles round trip. Beuatiful drive and the baby was good too.

I now know what you are talking about. My bike came with an IMS. and I see the huge gap. I see huge potential for better ergonomics and more gas storage with a spaecific tank. Has anyone ever try talking with IMS to build a better tank? Back in 07 when I was building my wife's sx 105 for offroad there was alot of people that complained about not having an over size tank for that bike and, somebody from KTMTALK started a thread and wrote to IMS about building a Tank for the 105. Pretty soon they were making one. I sure if we get enough poeple that want an oversize tank that fits and looks good it might be worth looking into.

Whats the average range for a 2010 WR300 stock fuel tank? Our X/C's usually consist of 2 loops at 40-50 miles a piece. A fuel fill up at the beginning of the second loop.

40-50 miles is fine on the stock tank for xc trails. I have done quite a few rides 50+ miles on the stocker and no reserve. I hit reserve at about 58 miles on a trail ride.

I've done 60 in technical woods and 70 miles in the dez with a stock 09' wr300.

    Nice choice of bikes
