The only rub is the mounting is sold separately and it gets pricey.
I read this whole thread because I have not been happy with my windshield. One problem I have when spaced out from the original plastics is headlight glare reflecting off the backside of the wind shield. I have not seen any talk of this. Have any of you noticed this or is the high beam indicator so blinding that is all you notice?
People have taken notice. The solution they have seemed to of found is to put any sort of tape over it to lessen the brightness or totally block it out.
Recently returned from my trip, 1800 km in three days. Windshield passed with flying colors! So much so that I think I leave it attached even for everyday use!
I finally I finally cut a piece of electricians tape and placed it strategically over the damn high beam light...sheesh it's bright.
I got my screen from screens for bikes. The screen looks just like the factory one but about 2" to 2.5" taller. They also come in different colours. I got mine in a light tint, it looks great. Screens For Bikes www.screensforbikes.com/ Screens For Bikes is an Australian manufacturer of quality motorcycle wind shield replacements, shipping both locally within Australia and internationally.
Those are nice. Good find! I'm glad to get a factory screen at a bargain but if that didn't happen I would of picked one of those up.
Hi Biff, On the screensforbikes web site it says the husky screen is 135mm or 9 1/4 inches Should that read 235mm? My factory husky screen is too short for me , 6ft 1 , maybe this screen will be better with helmet noise With no screen I get minimal helmet noise , but would like less wind pressure chest Its amazing how quiet things are when standing up at 100kph
Not happy Jan! Tinted as well; oh well you get that. I tried a local company called Eaglescreens and they weren't prepared to tool up for a TR.
