Just for reference... I'm running a C2 pipe on my 02 CR250. It has less bottom more hit and more top than stock. think I liked stock better but this for sure makes more peak HP. Lectron on both pipes. the C@ required a good bit of carb tuning as it pinged and ran lean immediately after installing it. Never had a pipe need so much tuning. I do like the power but it could be better.

Also liked every Doma pipe I have ever tried. Nice mid power which is where I ride a lot.

Just an FYI, I've still got a stock chamber and silencer that came off my 14' WR300 that are litterally brand new. I posted them in the classified section a while back but just kinda forgot about it
and the ad got buried a few pages back. Anyone who's interested just make me an offer. Also have a couple spare air filters that I'll throw in for free for whoever buys the exhaust. I also have a TC2 Silencer
for a WR250/300. I sold my 300 a couple months ago and have no use for this stuff it's gotta go. $65 + shipping for chamber + silencer and two air filters.

I made the swap with the Keihin carb as I was very familiar with it. I think I just put the pipe on and ran it if I recall. Such a great setup.

Just curious what's your jetting? I have Kehien pwk38 from JD jetting via MototSportz ...175/42/red needle 2 or 3 clip can't recall.......great power with only a slight bludder in transition from 1/4 throttle ...I have lived with it because it has great power else ...I run Maxima superM @ 42:1
    Pipe should arrive today ....

I bought my 09 wr250 used. PO put a DEP pipe on it and Keihin carb. Seems good to me but it's my 1st 2 stroke so I don't know the difference. He previously had a gnarly(I think) on it but said it took away top end power.

Installed, fit was almost perfect, close to the kicker so I put some heater hose on it just in case ....letting the high temp silicone set up overnight ...but would rather light it up and rip up the block..looks good ....wife says "that was $200" ...I was like "that's a bargain" she said "chrome don't get you home " .....ugh image.jpg

"Since my wife left I keep used parts in her closet." (from TT I think)

Sounds like pipe to pipe and bike to bike differences with these pipes. Glad yours fits up well.

Can't really feel any "top end loss'" does have great power "grunt" like 2nd or 3rd gear roll on power! Seems larger, closer to the wheel, more bulbous ...think I need an aluminum pipe shield /guard ....I have heard the Hyde type guard is poor because it deflects the hit to the jug and can break cylinders or exhaust flanges etc ...

I think it's Tusk that makes a decent Al pipe guard. Planning to give it a try before my pipe gets anymore beaten up.

well i gotta say the gnarly fit up was pretty much spot on! the pipe/silencer connection was slightly out(as in angle but being very picky now) but other than that absolutely perfect. like how they come with the orings & some spare stickers too. bottom end is awesome & doesn't feel like it loses much up top. gonna adjust rod on lectron 1/4 leaner & see how she feels as just put pipe on & rode it. feels tad rich still. did anyone elses pipe near the header section turn gold/titanium colour like mine did? is that normal? looks cool wondering if that's why they call them gold series?! the powercore 2/gnarly combo is a good one & it sounds better too(even my brother commented on sound while riding today!). looks sweet as well!

maybe try a ride or two before leaning, unless you were experiencing four stroking at part throttle or it was loading up.

I've got to get rid of my pro circuit pipe and silencer. My pipe keeps separating at the weld seams, and I'm getting tired of re-welding it. Seriously, every ride a new spot starts to leak splooge all over my engine or on the pipe. Also my silencer is falling apart.
