I just noticed all 4 of my radiator bolts where loose on my 300. 5 minutes of checking bolts savex me potenitally a lot of greif.

good catch! OM says check 'em all before each ride. takes 5 mins with t-handles. esp sprocket, brake lever and kick lever bolts! (i do it after each ride) ever have yer rr brake or kick lever fall off? it sucks.

I just bought a big tube of blue loctite gel. After reading about the misc bolts on this machine, I will blue loctite them all as I go along and tinker around. I love 2 strokes and blue loctite is my friend:thumbsup:

I have ofg rad guards, jd kit for the pwk and rear brake sharkfin coming on the way! I bought paper gasket maker for the reed intake and will make a gasket for that when I pull the carb off too. I might try the throttle cable from my yz that the carb came off of. Sounds like stock ends up being a little long. Manageable, but...

I really appreciate all of the input fellas!! I am psyched to not only have FINALLY have a Husky, but it is my first new bike ever as well!!

Don't lock-tite the bolts that go into the nutserts. That includes the tank and the airbox. Use anti-seize on 'em.

Thanks. Hey quick question. What gearing are you guys running? Stock? I am mostly on singletrack and some desert. Lots of climbing on the singletrack in UT.
Again, sorry for all the q's, and thanks for all the input.

I ran rich jetting and 32:1 for break in and use Maxiama K2 at 50:1 now, mind you I have a 5 gallon pail of it and refill my old ipone bottles with a mixing chamber on top so I don't have to use a Ratio rite

14/50 in the woods. 15/50 in the open.
50T is my permanent rear sprocket and I just swap fronts for the terrain.

FINALLY took it for its first ride today. Oh man, this bike is awesome! Gotta get the jetting dialed in, but... Fast and tons of torque. Stuff on the YZ that I would have been diggin a rut gettin up, just crawls right up, no wheel spin, didn't even have to clutch it! I'm in love!
Thanks to all of you guys for the input and helping me get it set up.
