  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

just looked on my bike and i have only one. Checked my parts catalog and the diagram only shows one but on my bike it looks there is a spot to attach a a second on the pipe and motor.

So my question is one or two?

Two makes sense to me but if I only need one...

Just checked mine , same year and model... I have 2 exhaust springs..

thank you.

Seemed obvious but I wasn't sure. My WR300 has two but I was wondering if it was just because of the larger displacement.

2 new springs coming!

Just trying to keep everything up and going for the late summer/fall riding around here.

Here's to a late winter!

A yz 125 exhaust spring will work also. I lost one on my 2008 cr125 somehow and yz spring worked.

Good to know thank you.

Fortunately, I called Tasky's in Everett and they had them in stock and are on their way here now.

Just thought I'd put a plug in for a dealer who has done good by me.

thats funny, when i got my bike used I had the same dilemma. But the hook thats attached to the pipe was gone.

I ended up welding another on.

We safety wire them 125s loose one spring all the time, they fit tight but I find them missing on alot of bikes.Havent found a better spring that fits correct,we even injected silcone sealer into the center to change the vibration harmonics, helped on some.billf

Re...

I replace a couple on my oldest sons bike yearly, as he's always on the pipe.
My youngest son is more of a midrange and technical rider and I've never replaced a spring.
The bikes are 2007 WR 125's.
