• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I'm looking at replacing my stock sprockets. i need something with a few more teeth, nothing crazy i still have to be able to keep up with highway traffic. i was wondering if anyone out there knows of a good company or place to order sprockets in canada perferably ( would go US aswell ).

So i can't find the stock specs for sprocket size for my bike, anyone know? just so i can get an idea of how big i wanna go?

perhaps a 15/47 would do for your riding.that would give you a little more snap and still let you ride the highways.the Husky red anodized tri metal sprockets are nice and dont hurt the bank acct too bad.dan

Checked out a link to supersproxusa.com, 200 bucks ain't to bad for a front and rear kit c/w chain and life time warrenty! thanks for the tip!

Picked up a front and superlite rear for my TE 630 from these guys http://www.sprocketcenter.com/c/16162/1/sprocket-applications-off-road-.html Their lightweight rear steel sprocket is especially nice!

Don't bother with the front sprockets. I ordered two Superlite front sprockets from Drive Systems USA. The receipt says AFAM USA. The fit is so tight that you would have to beat them on with a sledge hammer which of course would make them impossible to remove.

Ironman front sprocket is a perfect fit but they don't last. Their rear sprockets are really tought but the fronts wear out in under 2000 miles.

Tight fit is good.

The 610 has an issue with loose fitting sprockets wearing the countershaft.

I have a 2008 610SM. I replaced the 15T with a 16T a few years ago and really like it a lot. I am getting ready to replace the chain and all the sprockets and am thinking about going 16/43 (15/45 is stock).

What will 16/43 give you?

I know. That's the first part I changed on my '09. The Superlite front sprocket would not go on more than 1/3 the way. Even if you could beat them on with a hammer, you would never be able to get them off without a torch. The Ironman front sprockets are a perfect fit but they are not the toughest I've used.

I wish Renthal made sprockets for the '09. I can't find them.

What brand of front sprockets are you guys using?

Mine is stock 15/45. I don't know what they use. I would like to go 16/43, but not sure how it would run.

I have stock spockets on my sm610 08...15/45. For longer trips i use 16/45. Much better for engine...

Drive Systems 16T, Part Number 64500D16. I have the stock chain from my 2008 610SM. I did need to push the chain adjusters all the way in and even then I had to shave down the jam nuts to get a little extra slack.
