  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

07 wheels fit on an 09?

Riksha

Husqvarna
AA Class
Would the wheel set from a 07 TE450 fit on 09 TE450 w/o exchanging brake discs? Seen it done on an 08 since the discs were the same. thanks

Hows the interchangeability of wheels like between the 05-09 + TE-SMR + 250-610? Minus the rotors, I'm pretty sure the hubs are identical right? So all of them should be able to fit each others wheels?

The axle diameter is smaller on the 05 and 06's compared to the 07- 08-09 axles, but I have heard you can change the bearings over to the 07-08-09 bearings because the outer diameter of the 05-06 bearings is the same as the 07-08-09's. This is what I've heard and don't know for a fact if it is true or not. You would also need the axle spacers from the 07-08-09 if your going to use those bearings and vice versa if your if your going the other way. The triple tree is also narrower on the 05-06 bikes than the 07-08-09's which causes some problems when taking a 07-08-09 rim and putting it on a 05-06 bike. Again,,this is what I've heard and don't not know what parts of it are factual or false.
