    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

09 TC450 - Lights and Enduro tank?

Hi there,

Does anyone know what I need (and where to get it) to put lights onto my 09 TC450. I would have to believe that there is something that is an option for the TC. I am also looking to add a larger enduro tank on my machine.

All info will be highly appreciated
 
It is an option for the TC, its called buy the TXC instead. lol

I would imagine you would need a different output stator (possibly from the TXC) and then whatever headlight you like, the Trailtech X2 is pretty nice. A lot of people have the IMS tanks and seem to like them, they are bigger but not really big, I think they are around 3 gallons.
 
I have an 04 TC450 and am in the process of doing the same things. The stator on my model is the same as on the TE, which means it can power lights and blinkers fine. Just in case i'm having the stator rewound to add output so I can run HID's at some point and power a GPS, etc. I am also going to have to buy a DS harness to run the lot. I'd bet you will need similar modifications.

I did install the kit from http://www.motosportz.com/HVA-SS/HVA-SS-Trailtech.htm stator+voltage regulator and the X2 halogen on my TC510 2008 work like a charm. You have to upgrade your stator or re-wind it with larger wire in order to get enough power. Other option could be a LED headlight but i'm not sure if the original stator is ok but you will need a voltage regulator as a minimum.

For a tank, 3.0 gal made by IMS , i think this is your only option.
 
you guys are the best!, this is my first Husky (previusly I rode KTM's and Honda's). Where can I buy the stator...any Husky dealership?
