I have a handful of days riding a TE 250 under my belt and I'm looking for some advice on suspension setup. I'm probably not the typical rider; I don't race and I don't ride very aggressively. I tend to poke around and explore the dry, rocky, loose trails here in Colorado.
The suspension seems to be fairly stiff overall and I feel like I get bounced around a lot. I feel it most in the front end, it bounces around and I feel like I fight it for control. I've softened the settings up some without noticing much improvement. The owners manual states the stock settings (12 clicks or whatever it is) but doesn't specify the total range. Can I just keep backing off the adjusters until they stop? What about a lighter fork oil? (not sure what is in there)
I got this bike from my Dad, he didn't make any changes from stock ( no revalving or springs or anything like that).
I weigh about 190 with my gear on. Thanks in advance.
