Just a heads up in case this is not an out of the normal problem. The rear brake line rubs on the back of the engine case between the shock spring and outer frame rail and eventually rubs through the outer protective case and inner plastic covering and the stainless steel braiding,to the point of failure if let go long enough. While this is happening it also wears into the engine/trans case and cuts a nice line into the case too,and would cause an oil leak if left unrepaired.I found out the hard way about the hose while going over the bike today in preperation for this weekend.I guess the easiest way to correct the problem would be to put a longer chain on the bike, the fittings don't take well to bending and break quite easily. The area I refer to is where the hose comes off the master cylinder and bends back around to attach to the swing arm.i might add that it doesn't take long I have 500 miles on my bike now.
