  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc 125/144 front sprocket

Husqvarna
AA Class
Does anyone have a source for less expensive front sprockets for the WR/CR 125/144? We ride in an area that has very abrasive sand and go through these things like changes of underwear. The price of the OEM item can only be considered agravated rape.

Also, anyone know how to get in touch with Kelly? He does not seem to respond to PMs.:excuseme:

ive got a renthal on the front of my 06 i just bought. i wanna say it was $25.

I just got a Renthal from my dealer and he said part is discontinued, so no more after this one.

I have not found a source for 125 sprockets other than OEM. Lots of places list them, but none seem to be available when I want to buy them.

With a new 09 125 coming into the fold in a few weeks, this I don't want to hear.

I've used the Rocky Mountain chain/sprox kits with pretty good results on my 450 MXer and enduros, (the "X" ring chain + steel sprockets holds up pretty good to big bores).

They have a specific email addy for "parts you think we should carry", its

sales@rockymountainatv.com <sales@rockymountainatv.com>

I'm going to drop them a line. They used to carry the DOHC sets for Husky 250-510 but dropped them.

A nice batch of emails would probably give them a reason to cut & stock them, but of course, if nobody buys them...

AFAM from sprocket specialists, or sprocket center, can't quite remember. Good prices and package deals as well.

Sidewinder lists them, but their Ti-Moly front sprockets go for about the same as the OEM unit, but with a lifetime warranty, maybe it worth a try.

I'll call them and ask if they have stock. It might be worth it to test one out, if they have any....

This response was just received from Rocky Mountain ATV,

Dear Jim,
Thank you for your email. I have forwarded this information to our purchasing department for their consideration. We appreciate your input!

Options never hurt! They have aluminum, steel, non ring, O and X in black/gold. Cheap too, around $85 for a steel X ring kit.

The last set I bought came from sprocketspecialist. Remember to put that it is for a 125 in the notes.

Motosportz also has them listed.

Prices should be the same as other brands. Unless you want a 12t front, I think that is oem only.
