  • Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

'14 TE310 parts in Aus

Is there anywhere in the US, UK or Europe that will ship parts for '14 TE310 to Australia, at the moment I'm just chasing the fan thermal switch P/N 8538490 and a fuel injector P/N 8000H4733
Having issues with overheating and cutting out which has been covered in a few threads in the past but it's getting harder to source parts in Aus
 
Yeah I just bought a te511 in Aus and none of the local newcastle area shops will work on the older red ones now... no parts available. I was keen on a new injector aswell my oil smells like fuel and the clutch is slipping pretty bad. I did find the fuel tank air vent hose was blocked solid not sure if that was causing any issues.. only 1200kms on the bike..
Also a bit of a slap noise which sounds like in the top end when backing off. Also the fan doesn't cut in when its hot or maybe i haven't had it hot enough. Thou the other day it didn't seem to want to wind over or start when it was hot.
Can't seem to find much info on these bikes aswell

Have you tried to cross reference the thermal switch for an automotive part? I did it for my KTM 690 to lower the cut in temperature , Narva has a big range!

Hey man, what year is the 511, SWM and AJP use the 2010 husky engines, might find a lot of parts interchangable.
I used to get parts through First class motorcycles in Lillydale Vic, maybe worth a try but I haven't had much luck with them lately
Also italhusky.com, I got an lower OEM seat there a few years ago, never even knew a lower seat option existed from factory.

I just got a brand new injector delivered from ecbike.pt, found them through another thread on here, they're based in Portugal and were real easy to deal with.

And JDK Motocycle wreckers seem to have quite a few husky parts, I got the thermo switch from them 2nd hand which I'm stoked about because I tested the fan and it works fine so hopefully the replacement swtch works

Anyway, good luck with the bike man, it's getting harder and harder but I absolutely love the 310 and do not want to upgrade
