• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TE/TC 17 te300 skidplate/link guard

I got a quick reply from Jon mid week. He said he has a plate for my 150 just hadn't had time to update the site. Said he should be able to ship late next week

Anyone heard from sxs?
The 2017 is not mentioned in their product list..

Nope...was in my local shop yesterday and given I have had two bikes prior with linkages exposed with non-issue where i ride.....deciding to just go with the stocker....btw..also found the stock hand guards(not just the ones that come but the bash guard ones) to be good bang for buck...

Never had any issues before, but this link seems to sit lower then on my previous bike.
Would prefer to have it on my bike for multiple reasons...

I got an invoice from John Wednesday and the plate showed up this morning. Nice piece! I've always had CF plates but I really like the looks of this one

Emperor racing makes a very nice skid plate with plastic glide plate that cover bottom of skid and linkageIMG_1244.JPG . Made in Canada so cheaper also and better quality. HAHA

$160.00 for the skid plate and $50.00 for the extra plastic skid that bolts to bottom plate that cover bottom of skid plate and linkage. That Canadian so $160.00 American that cheap for good quality and should glide over stuff even better than PDS bike now. Comes with great instruction and foam to go between frame and skid plate this skid plate mounts in 5 spots not going to move and bottom is protected by nylon so no dents and should glides over logs like a crazy carpet on snow.

I have had a stock plate and a Obie work great here in the AZ rocky terrain. Save some money and use the stock plate until you break it..... Just saying....
