• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Would appreciate some advice on this bike. In 1996 a neighbor asked if I liked old dirt bikes , I said sure. Leaned against the wall in his garage was this bike. He bought it new, rode 50 miles, crashed and broke femur and wrist. Leaned it against the wall and didn’t move it for 24 years. 100% original, tires, oil, everything. I have cleaned it up, painted tank, seat cover and foam and little stuff like cables, chain, etc. In 96 it fired third kick. Yesterday got it out and dead moto plat. I am not real big into vintage so now what do I do with it ? It is beautiful to just look at! Original tires( Trellies) still have nibs.

Here are some pics.

Yeah, ebay followers want to know if it will sell for that ridiculous price. I once had 15 followers for a kick lever for a honda. Still have the lever, no one could spare the 40$. Getr running and post it for 3800$ I think you could get that. Also I have never seen a 72 450 with a motoplat, but thats just me. Disconnect the kill switch and hang the plug on top of the cylinder and kick it in the dark. Chris
And what Vinskord posted!!

No kill switch no diff. Serrated washer under right front head bolt - now a little spark about every third kick . Making progress! Next on the list. Cleaned and polished front motor mount plates, bolts and nuts and engine case holes and frame stubbs.
