• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

1973 Husqvarna 250WR

Boy Howdy!!!
I layed it down at about 15 mph and it burnt to a crisp. Almost back together. Motor is a 77 KZ 1000, with a mid cam and was a ripper with 34mm smoothbores. Should build a pretty good head of steam with the turbo.

Yeah that's mine, all fueled up and just added air to the tires.i think November a little wet and leaves. Slid down a it lit off couldn't even turn the petcock off. No damage to me only my ego. My knee knocked the carbset off and a spark from the the frame or pipes and it was over.

Wow thats crazy. 100 yr old generator running again. Are the huge flywheels needed to make up for the engines lack of torque when the generator is under a load? Good job my friend.

Yeah they keep the speed up between stroke and when a electric load causes a drain on the HP. I think It's Too Cool!!
I love making old stuff work!!

Got the 250WR with a CR piston and Rod to start for the very first time, Very exciting to hear!! Wasn't sure it would work but they moved the wrist pin and not the ports!! Parts off to powder and Just about finished! Cutting the cooling guard off another pipe to complete. I'm goin to draw the guard to have a few cut on the CNC my friend has to replace the mostly F..ked ones I find!!
Also got the old 360c enduro to fire just a bit! Got to find the Plate to ride it home soon!!
