• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

1980 WR 390 Rescue...

I just select my pics then select email and it auto resizes them. then I just reselect them in the email browser and copy them back to a file called small pics. these fit on here ok

Well, I'm not going to be individually posting pictures anymore.... The photos and videos are in the Google Photos album I linked to.
I have tried every way that I know to post photos and videos but this site does not like my URLs for some reason. I have tried pulling links from GooglePhotos, Facebook and other sites that I embedded the videos on and nada.

"Specified URL cannot be embedded as media"

i just upload a file (photo) right from the pc...cant get any simpler

Most sites prefer that you host you own photos and link to them as this decreases their bandwidth requirements and reduces operating costs. Over the years I have come accustomed to using my own accounts with Photobucket and Google Photos to host my photos and link to them in order to save the site owners bandwidth costs.
I find it hard to believe that the owners of Cafe Husky do not prefer users to host their own photos off-site and link to them.

I thinks its an old system and they have maintained it for useless nerds like me who don't pbucket etc

Big bill has a gravity bonus (no offence intended Bill:rolleyes: )

At that time my upper body strength was from cutting trees for decades. I was in shape. Big but in shape strength wise. I lost 60lbs in three months riding that cr 390. At first I was doing three loops at the dam, and just about put the bike on the trailer. Bike 1 human 0 on the score card.

Nice to see you here again Phillip. I have really missed you here.

Mods keep deleting my posts, they must want $$. I have done more than my share to keep these machines alive, I post for benefit of all and have the owners/Riders best interest in mind. Can't finance this site or run it, I have way too many irons in the fire as it is
