• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hi Dez,

Would this be good on my 390 ( going to 420)???

Very nice. Looks great!

T

My next head spec. seminar will be in San Diego Ca.on june 4th 2010 at marine stadium.

last two entering with Patron silver get in free.

Currently have only 2 seats left @$50 better hurry.

Hey husky T,

Pm me and i will give you my specs.

Measure your bore so i can give you the dia. to end the taper and do you know what your squish clearance via solder compression?

I had to take off .045 to get my squish at .045 which seems to be optimal.
How is you resto going?
I have been way too busy building my machine shop to do anything to my 430.
Cant wait for Oct. and cool weather to return.

One brick coming up!

PM me your address :)

Seriously, that is a clean looking setup. I think I might buy another head and send it to him. Which popoff did you use?
Thanks,
Geary

Firecrackerkid,
Any chance you still have 84 500 frame?
Wanted to PM you but am still a NEWBIE:excuseme:

Hey cracker my address or racers Machine?

Is my brick on the way as July 4th is fast approaching.

I will give everyone my specs when i finalize my testing.

I used T.P. Engineering decompression valve.

Looked at all of them and this one looks to be very high quality workmanship and materials.

Did you want me to send your brick to racers machine? I figured I would send them a head and some money. I could just send it to Yucca Valley but I don't have that much faith in the postal service. Now if you sent me something with just a Grand Coulee address the postmaster would know how to get it to me. Small town benefits.

hidez,
That tooooooo purty to use. First boot scratch and you'll be crying like a baby. Put it up on the mantle betore it gets f'd up. (Or trade me for my plastic one???)

Miss Husky gets a new work station

This is why you havent seen any progress on my 430 CR project.

Rear shocks get a make over

Springs are going to be powdercoated with a silver base coat and then a blue candy over that.

Should look really clean with the rustoleum gold metallic shock bodies with rustoleum clear laquer.

The nice part about this new Rustoleum paint is that you don`t have to use any primer,i just taped off the shock bodies and put them in my bead blaster.not a bad finish for a rattle.
