As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!

Superb looking bike mate...if I'm going to be anal I don't like the modern gold rims...but that's only a minor criticism.
I've got my '82 430 in bits at the moment....the gearbox took a bit of a battering from Dave Thorpe at Farleigh this year. Him and Dickie Dye rode it for charity and did 10 races on her...poor girl.
Engine is being done by my old man who worked for Husqvarna so I'm expecting a top job...In the pic the wheels are like yours. I've managed to get a pair of almost brand new Nordisk rims to go on her rather than the Jap ones....I'll post some more pics once I get going on her.

Hi Steve,Stu,
I've got a vintage Iron pipe from the states on mine at the moment and too be honest I don't really like it. I'm going to get a Domar one from HVA-factory.
I know you said you don't ride anymore, but have you ridden your 430 with that pipe arrangement on it ? Mine has a Mossbarger reed block on it and I just don't seem to be able to get her to run right off the bottom...she seems to hesitate a bit almost like she is running a bit rich...?
Have you changed the jetting at all for the pipe or left alone ?
Cheers,
Steve

Yes Pro-form is very good job!![]()
I got a pro-form and I must say its some of the worst welding I've ever seen. the ones here don't look much better. There are actual holes in it, its terrible. The weld on the last pic upper left is by my exhaust man. He said 'shame, you could have made a really nice pipe for this'. I have painted it and if anything it looks worse. Don't buy one.

Gary,that bikes a beauty,great welding on the pipe.Hello,
Here are a few pics of my Geoff Morris Pipe on my 430. Great workmanship. That is a great looking 430 shown above !! Oh - if only their was some way to keep
the blue/ heat lines around the weld it would even look more sic. Flash rust from cold and hot days in texas left condensation from night and had to polish off flash rust. View attachment 17967View attachment 17968View attachment 17969
Beautiful bike, the pipe is nice too!
