  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hey all! I have a 1998 TE410 that I am selling. Can anyone give me advice on what to price it at? Y'alls opinion would be helpful and I would appreciate it. Only has a little over 4000 kilometers on it. Plus it has an automatic clutch. It's in great shape and runs like a champ. Let me know!

Well I got a street legal kick only model. It did not have the factory plastics, but had plain ones in good shape. Had a trailtech vapor on it, cycra probends and a renthal bar. Mechanically it was perfect and I have found nothing wrong with it since then and I've abused it well so... Oh and the PO threw in a brand new set of tires with it... unmounted. I think I got a good deal, so it may be worth a bit more than 1k... idk. It seems like the older husky's are not worth much for one reason or another. Probably has to do with the distribution problems back then.

Yeah I think you are right. I put it on Craigs List for $1500. That might be too much. It's almost street legal. All you have to add is the battery and the wiring harness. It was an odd bike but has low miles. I will wait a week or so then I will probably drop the price. I think $1K sounds about right. It has excel rims on it as well. My 2000 Husky didn't come with excel. Just plain stock. Husky was kind of goofy back then on some of their bikes.

its not that Huskys dont hold their value, its that no dirt bike does.
a 12 year old dirt bike isnt worth much, but I could see you getting around $1,000 for it.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. It's on Craigslist now. I have it at $1500 knowing that someone will talk me down.
