• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

1999 te 410 footpegs?

Husqvarna
AA Class
G'day guys, I picked up a te 410 (build date 1/98) on Tuesday. I am not sure if that equate to a 99 model or not?
Anyway one of the first things I want is some new footpegs. There doesnt seem to be many options pop up straight away on google or ebay.
Does this model "share" footpegs with any other bikes, eg. KTM, Yamaha?

Also, who in Australia provides the best support (either 2nd hand or new parts) for huski's of this era?

The build date of jan 98 would be a 1998. 1999 production would most likely begin in june of 1998. The bike in your avatar looks like a 1999 because of the inverted 45mm marzocchi forks. The 1998 huskys had the 50mm conventional marzocchi forks. Someone could have switched forks though because the conventional forks had problems holding seals. You will need to figure out which year you have because the foot pegs are different form 1998 to 1999.

thanks for that, I will recheck the build plate tonight. Aside from the forks and footpegs, what are the other differences?
regarding the footpegs, what are the critical measurements that would distinguish one from the other? I will try and get a photo over the next few days.

Ok, so i checked the VIN no and the 10th digit was an X, which i think makes it a "99 model" even though the build date was in 1998. This would also explain Rancher1's pickup on the forks.
Hopefully some one can verify this for me?

So what other bikes share footpegs with 99-03 huski's?
