  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2008 TE Stator Output

Dust_Buster

Husqvarna
B Class
I've been looking at lighting upgrades for my 2008 TE510, but I am having trouble finding out what the stock stator output is on the fuel injected TEs, does anyone know?

320 watts if I remember correctly.....Once you take away the wattage for everything else thats on the bike already you have somewhere around 250. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong please.

What is the DC output?

I am runnning the TrailTech Eclipse X2 HID off DC on my 2008 TE 450...no problem. I didn't run it for 5 hours to see if my battery would drain, but it did fine for 2-3 hours in Baja.

That is the 610 that is 320 watts, the 250/310/450/510 is more like 240.

I was just reading through the repair manual and saw a graph made for stator output. The 08 TE and SMR makes;

168 watts @ 2000 RPM

203 watts @ 4000 RPM

217 watts @ 6000 RPM and a maximum of

224 watts @ 10,000 RPM

It actually reads in amps @ 14 volts and you have to convert it.

It is on page M14 (page 294 of the pdf).

Unfortunately I can't add answers (yet) but I do have a question for all you more experienced Husky guys and gals. With a stock '09 TE510 is there enough power in stator to run grip warmers without compromising the battery charging and other powered things (like headlight etc)?? I live in cold country and really want to install these as I had them on my old bike DRZ-400 and they were life savers in the shoulder seasons. Any input appreciated. thanks!!! Pete SS

joliet is correct i just look at the Manuel he was talking about. Im impressed, thats more than I thought.

Thats more power than ill ever need.

Been lurking around here for a few and finally have something to say. I want to be able to power my heated gear (gloves, jacket, & pants) which totals about 150 watts. What would be the minimum amount of total wattage output I would need from the bike.

Also who makes and upgraded stator/rectifier kit?

So is it safe to assume I can run a Trail Tech 70w DOT X2 headlight and a power cable for my GPS?
