• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

iam thinking about buying one but iam very short 5"4 with 29 inseam just wondering if anyone things it could be lowered enough for me to fit and what kind of money to do it

My girlfriend (5'5" / not sure about inseam maybe ~31")has a similar issue with her new SM630. So far I've taken all the pre-load out of the rear shock which has helped tremendously since she only weighs 125lb with gear. I've also lowered the forks in the triple clamps some.

Yesterday I sent the saddle off to Seat Concepts to have a custom made allowing another 1" to 2" drop from stock and then stepped up in the back.

I'm hoping this will provide her enough drop to get her feet just about flat on the ground.

I will have to modify a kick stand since taking all the preload out of the rear and dropping the front forks has made the stock stand ineffective.

If this does not work for her, the next step would be either a lowering link or rear suspension modification.

I'm 5'9/5'10, with only a 30" inseam, but weight around 215 no gear, so I squish it down some. I have NO issue at all on my 630. In fact, I think it's a great height for the bike. Now, as for the other Husky's, like the TE's and WR's, no thanks, with those mid 38" seat heights, nah, just too tall.

At 29" inseam, with the sag adjusted, and using a proper boot to give you a little extra, you should really be ok in my opinion, as I'm only a 30" inseam. It should work. You can always try it at the dealer and see how it works out for you??
