  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Where did you find a 30mm pump for $76?? I hope you didn't buy one of those fleabay pumps that say they are for a Husky.....

we missed the Big Bear Run but I finally got the bike back. my son has rode it on the street and all seems good. we plan on riding Sunday morning to try it out. Here is a picture of my spare fuel pump.

the pump is from HighFlow to use as a spare to get home. the pump actually has no markings on it. we ride some long rides so I needed some insurance that we would not get stuck again.

Next time your dealer has to order a part, call Hall's and see if they have it.

Ridiculous that parts are being ordered from Italy. How can you support racers or even dual sport riders if they're setting around waiting for the boat.?

considering that this problem is not a new one it is ridiculous not to have parts at the ready. especially when it is a known problem. i was hoping that Husky would have a better parts network or they will not have very satisfied customers.

38mm it is. it was listed on the highflow website as the replacement. Is it doable as a replacement? i may need fuel line to adapt it?

This company has mistakenly relied on info that is not correct. The 38mm pump is NOT a bolt in replacement for the OEM 30mm pump.

I know how to use a 38mm pump on the old 2008-2010 bikes with the old style fuel pump flange, but I do not know how a 38mm pump could even be used with the new 2 stage fuel delivery system like is on the newer bikes.

You will HAVE TO HAVE new fuel line to replace a fuel pump and/or fuel filter, due to the "one time use" OEM fuel line. Get some $22 a foot submersible fuel line, you'll never have to get any more, and some EFI fuel line clamps.

i wrote Highflow a few days ago, asked about the pump diameter and they said it will work. you have to offset it from the bottom with fuel hose. i told them all i got was a pump, no hose or clamps. a couple days later i had fuel hose and clamps.
