• Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

2011 TE 310 12 port injector and ECU update with pics

I've been looking for the racing kit (8000H7557) and called a few dealers. It looks like not only everyone is out of it but KTM is not making the kit anymore. The ECU (8000H7424 -FLASHED ECU TXC 310 USA MY 12) might be available tho. Since the injector can be purchased separately I might go this way. But I have a couple of questions:

  • Is the ECU program different between the part that is in the kit and the part purchased separately? If the programs are different, is it possible to program the non-kit ECU with the same program as the kit ECU?
  • What's the part number (Kawasaki) for the injector?

Thanks. But I have called a few dealers (including Halls) and none have the racing kit in stock and all have told me that Husqvarna does not make it anymore :-(

So I could buy the parts separate (ECU from the 2012 model) and the injector from Kawasaki, but, back to my question: are the programs in the two ECU's the same, and if not, can the 2012 standalone model be reprogrammed to the race ECU specs?

I actually installed the race parts catalog kit which was the boxed set of the above items. I have that kit P/N at home.
You should call around to dealers to see if they can access these parts. (OEM) stuff.


The 2012 TXC310 ECU is the ready to race ECU
Mine ran great with my 2010 Ti TC250 pipe with or without the S/A-dB plug installed.
So with the stock pipe with or without the S/A-dB cap the thing will run fine.
Or with an aftermarket pipe it will be fine.
I always ran my in quiet mode to pass sound checks at enduros, it still to this day was the sweetest 4T machine I ever owned.
 
does that injector work w a 2010 SMR450 ? is the injection unit the same as on that 310 model ?? inquiring minds would like to know..
