• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2012 Wr

I see they have finally increased the advertised curb weight on the WR250/300 to a more accurate 235.9 lbs. This is very close to what my 09 250 was when I weighed it. Funny!

"The Ducati Energy ignition and Magura aluminum
handlebar add to the list of top-shelf components that come on Husqvarna’s
WRs."

This is out of the WR125 section. Does this mean a digital ignition on the WR125? I might see an ignition upgrade in my future....

It sure seems like it to me!

I'm pretty positive it isn't a digital ignition. The CR spec sheet shows a "Ducati Energy digital ignition" while the WR spec sheets leaves that out.

But the 250/300 WR uses the same wording (Ducati Energy ignition) and we know they have the digital ignition. I don't think the 09-11 WR125/150 ignition was made by Ducati. It would be nice if they were more specific.

Now if only they would put a Keihin carb on them in place of the Mikuni....

I am sorry but the Mukuni works great in my opinion, and I have never needed to fuss with jetting much at all. Not sure maybe the Keihin really helps c riders or something. Halls doesn't do it.....

All good. Black frames, silver rims, but NOT enough. Time for some real updates. My god Husqvarna,-Bmw. Get with the program. There are plenty of 2-stroke buyers available. God I can't even ride a Husky 250, or I get outdated stuff, come on do not make 13 like this************************************************************************************************************************!!

Thank you i wanted to say the same thing but figured why Well my Mikuni works great on all my Husky
CR 125 been racing it for years never adjusted a thing on it Bike has 2 National #1 plates
WR 250 runs great everywhere and has a National # 2 plate on it
CR/WR 300 purchased used with a Keihin carb on it and it rans bad so i ordered a JD jet kit still ran bad Then i took the Mikuni of my 2006 Wr 250 installed it on my 2010 300 and now the 300 runs great.Left it completly the same way i took it off the 250 it now flat works great
i live at sea level but have now raced motorcross at 4,000 feet and desert at 3,000 feet and the bike runs perfect at all 3 places The Keihin so call wonder carb orginally set up by motocross auction magazine and with a JD jet kit in it now sits on the shelf

We here have ran std Mikuni on all of our race bikes and on my Wr150 it runs great.I think race bike is alot of it,racing is on the gas and off the gas.In some places plonking around the kehin may work cleaner but I and the rest of my guys have always run Mikuni except for the TM38s that came on the 360s,wich the TMX worked great as a replacement, not to say with some playing and fiddleing you can even get TM38 to work pretty good.

The new TMXX is a quantum leap forward for the Mikuni line when used with the RM needles. I am having very good luck with it currently once I got the floats set right.

+1

If I want to plonk around as you put it I back out my air screw 1/4 turn and it is clean but if riding hard I prefer it 1/4 turn back in. Nothing hard about that and certainly doesn't justify buying another carb.
