  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc 2012 WR125/144 with questions: pipe and electric

The diagram looks fine. Remember that this wiring loom was designed for the street version and has a connector for the battery. If you want to have too much fun with the 144 kit get the Scalvini pipe. It kicks in from mid range to top end and will make you laugh out loud at how hard it hits.
Have you done a back to back comparison to a fatty? The fatty hits pretty godamn hard in the middle and top - especially with the CR igntion . I am thinking the scalvini is more of a top end pipe.
Mine hits so hard I nearly slipped off the back! - need to get a grippier seat

So I got to put about 200 miles in the woods last weekend...forest roads, 2 track, single track and some pavement.

This bike is toooooo much fun. Tried to take advantage of the recent rebate and $3899 sale and buy a second one. They went a little quicker than I could find one. I have no regrets selling the Te510, this is exactly what I was looking for.

I have the FMF pipe and am very happy with the top end pull, I cant imaging what the Scalvini is like. Midrange has a slight flat spot, but other than that, I am very happy with the setup!

If its a bit flat in the middle you might try leaning out the metering rod on your Lectron. If it's rich 2 or 3 one quarter turns will really wake it up.

You may also want to add a voltage regulator mike. It will help keep the voltage constant and smooth out any voltage spikes.
