As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!
Will do... I leave my Auttune off now with two maps loaded so easy enough to try. Assume it will help launch me over logs![]()
I have not done anything with the accel pump feature as of yet. They did not give me any graphs but I did see them on the terminal in the Dyno room and where it is a much more balanced ramp up in the mid revs, not as much surge to higher rpms. Overall much cleaner with absolutely no pops anywhere. Very close to a Honda...
Thanks!
I rode Bmasho's completely stock 310R after tuning with the PCV. The bike runs nothing short of awesome, felt like riding Ty's full race ported black head. We have known for awhile how under fueled this platform was, even with the full power map loaded. My only regret is not producing this mod earlier. It's not just a better air fuel mixture, but the timing of that fuel within the powerband which produces these results. Anyone who owns and still loves their 2013-14 310R and wants to breath new life into their engine, modified or stock, this is it.
There is more improvement over the full power mapping. 38.7hp at the crank shaft is what BMW claimed, 32.25up at the tire. My 511 had 31hp stock, so that's not bad, though I think That number is a little higher after PCV tuning. After I got my ecu back from ZipTy, I was blown away
Just for fun, next time you are out, try this. On your features and enables window, uncheck the Auto tune temporarily and check accel pump. Add 2.0% 33rpm 10%. Test how your bike actually feels from take off to mid power, how does it react to the throttle opening instantly. This is an area where Autotune is going to have trouble and you will have to tune by how you feel the bike reacting.
Edit: Note that the accel feature will stretch across both high and low power maps. While low power will feel more like just flashed maps, it will retain the low power grunt.
Yea it is. I don't know what the issue is though. I can look into itmaybe let Ty's web-guy in on the bug. [wait... that's not you too, is it??]
thanks.

Hi was wondering what mods you got done to your bike, I've one myself trying to improve on a few things2013 310R follow-up - Ty Davis mods.
I've had several rides on this bike since the mods. and couldn't be happier. Abundant and smooth power everywhere. I'm liking it better than my '07 KTM EXC 525. I rode yesterday with a talented rider on a '13 KTM EXC 500, and the Husky was on par with it.
