  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2013 TXC/TE 310R

Yes, awesome bike and great photos RMGSXR. I just installed the Pro Circuit T5 on my TE310R last night. Getting a 12MM socket on top header flange was a bit of a hassle compared to how easy and well everything else went together but nothing too difficult. Overall a nice piece of kit and and with Map 3 and all the TXC mods the bike runs great.

From limited testing on street and in a grass field (I finished after dark) the bike seems to pull harder everywhere, especially in the midrange and top.

My only complaint is that the stock aluminum heat shield before the silencer will not fit. I remembered this thread and referred back to it to see how you handled that situation and like the heat shield you used. My exhaust didn't come with one so I'm assuming Pro Circuit forgot to include it or, more likely, that you found an aftermarket solution elsewhere.

Could you - or anyone else that might know - please let me know where I might purchase the heat shield you're using? Thanks!

Has anyone done the airflow mods and ran stock map? Just wondering if there is a big improvement off simply opening it up.

I already own a TXC310R and love it. I'm looking to possibly purchase another one, so I'm wondering what it takes to make a TE run the same as the TXC? I know they have to be more restricted than the TXC's and my TXC is uncorked with the end and screen out of the exhaust and the filter screen out. I'm worried about the O2 sensor and other things on the TE that would prevent me from making it run like my TXC. Any input would be appreciated.

And I would just buy another TXC but the dealership i deal with only has a TE in stock and said he is unable to get another TXC.

Thanks

How do you unrestrict the txc250r?
