• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Why isn't the US getting the FC350, is there not a market for them?

How did the KTM 350sx sell?

Did MXA reviews ruin the 350 mx market? Lol

No 350 for the states? It's a marking thing of some sort most likely... The bean counters at CORPs do laser precision on what they want to sell and to whom they want to sell it to. These kind of business decisions are ~always interesting to me, but that's about it.

I guess these guys (ktm) could make a total all out assaultt on 4-fittys... But they sell 450s also ... So its a balance of some sort.

FYI:
I watch the chip markets \ mobile devices alot (INTEL, ARMH, QCOM...) .... These guys have ~3 well defined markets to sell the same type devices\chips in .. Low, middle, and upper level performances (really price ranges)... Butter (margins) is very important at each level and each player is somewhat ~set in their bracket ... Its not so easy for any of them to move out of their performance \ price range area.

350SXF never made the big splash in the US, where the feeling is... "There's no replacement, for displacement".
MX guys here, could care less... what Tony is winning World Championships on. I can't remember the year, but when the first 350SXF's came out, dealers were charging retail and now they sit on dealer's floors, heavily discounted. Most in my area go for off road racing not MX....

The U.S. is the land of guys who think they need F350 dually's to run to the grocery store. Those same guys choose a 450 over 350. Now, I love trucks, but size does matter to many 'Mericans.

I guess Australia fits somewhere inbetween "smart car Europe" and "F350 dually America" but there is some feeling of "There's no replacement, for displacement" here too.
I'm glad we get the FC350 and I hope to get a test ride soon
