  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2014 TE 310R, new to the club here! Mods?

"So hose clamp, zip tie, whatever you feel comfortable with. "

I don't think I'de ride around without that hose clamped or tied or find a sump full of muddy water and a Husqvarna boat anchor parked nearby :banghead:

*In fact I'de be loathe to having any breathers/hoses/airgaps in fittings, etc... dangling below the waterline where you may be travelling. If plugging and re-routing consider river crossings.

Ouch, I hope your'e not speaking from recent experience and yes I agree. Ingress or egress would be bad. They both end with scrap metal.

So, IMS gave me the "lawyer line"......

IMS: We don't make a tank for the 2014 TE 310
me: It is the same as the 2011 + 2012 + 2013 models!
IMS: If it doesn't fit than it isn't.
me: Any help or suggestions?
IMS: No.

So I am on my own here. I think I will just get some aftermarket plastics and try to remove enough material to try to force it into place....

Typical BS. Call them back in a couple of days and tell them your bike is a 2012 or 2013 and see what helpful tips you get...;)

Made it through twice as I had to cross again on the return trip. Close call but didn't ingest any water. I did r/r swingarm and linkage recently to inspect and re-grease. Just part of my 9 month bulletproofing/proving of my 310 ;-)

So I made a licence plate holder. The idea was to make it as light as possible but still strong enough to take the occasional rock flung by the rear tire.
The swiss-cheesing of the aluminum plate was intentionally asymmetrical, free-handed and fueled by lots of "Pacifico Clara"!

Highway Dirt Bikes still around? www.highwaydirtbikes.com does not work for me.

Yes, they are still around! Best handguards in the market in my opinion. Also the guys there are easy to deal with. I am very happy with my setup and everything involved with the purchase. I did a sub mount scotts damper with the HDB handguards and it all flowed perfectly!

So, I have made the IMS tank fit with radiator braces, the fan and the stock plastic. This is what it took:

I had these delrin spacers manufactured....adaptors.JPG

Here they are in place...

And here is my W I D E TE310R !!!

shroud R.JPG

and to make the fan not hit the tank I lowered the fan as much as the radiator brace would allow me to and swiss cheesed the brace in the process!!!

I have a 2014 TE310R with a full Leo Vince map installed. Can I get rid of the sensor in the exhaust?
Does anyone know where I can buy that connector into the main harness? I don't want to destroy the stock one!
Thanks!

Try the Husky shop in Escondido, MotoForza. One of the guys there races the 310 and can probably dial you in

Pretty certain on the 2014 it's best to leave the O2 sensor in place. On the 2011/2012 models it was advantageous to remove it and install a jumper to force the ECU into a race mode but not on your red head model.

I just picked up a 2014 te210r and want to put an ims tank on it. Did you just order the ims tank for the 2013 as they don't list one for 2014 and any struggles fitting it with the oem plastics?

Yes it is the same tank as for the 2013. I have used IMS tanks on some dirt bikes since 1992 and I like the IMS stuff. There is nothing wrong with the integrity of the tank, it doesn't leak or anything like that. The only problem is that the tank fits like shit. It doesn't like the stock plastic or seat. I spent an enormous amount of time modifying the stock plastics trying to make it fit. In the end I had 2 sets of custom spacers of my own design made for me, but the bottom line is that it made the bike about 4 inches wider on either side.

So nowadays I run the bike without the stock radiator shrouds. I made my own and bolted them to the radiator braces. I will post some pictures later......
