  • Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

2014 TE449 Still Stalling, Surging and not Running Right

Wow, that's what I call going all in! Hey, so you think the new owner of your company is gonna keep it going? Was really looking forward to hitting you up next trip to Maui.

Anyway, don't forget us here...please post some pics and progress here on CH!
 
Yes my business partner Mike will still be running the company so you will still be able to ride when you come to Maui!
I will be making a blog for my trip and will post the link once it gets going.

Checking back in. Here is the blog for my ride through Eastern Europe, was an incredible trip! Still need to update through Albania, Croatia and Hungary. Put down 4500 miles in 8 countries and had some pretty gnarly off-road adventures on that big bike. Currently in the Philippines

Wow, that is an Adventure ride. I can only imagine how challenging it was to ride the Romaniac's course. Crazy shit. :thumbsup:
I remember follwing Luke's trip through Mexico on a TE610 on advrider.com a few years ago.

Riding the Husaberg in Romania was incredible! A must do before you die. I plan to go back next year for the actual romaniacs race and do some more riding. An interesting thing about Romania is that there are no fences anywhere and pretty much lack any trespassing laws so you can just ride anywhere.

I met Luke on that trip through mexico and its pretty crazy how it progressed to me riding through Europe on his friends bike. Luke and I are riding Mexico again in February down to Cabo and back :)
