• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2015 North East Husky Gathering

Also is anyone interested in doing a 1 day riding school on a friday? Not expensive and the teacher has earned his "Skunk Stripes".

It's official, got my AHRMA license for PVMX & PVXC . I have this on my calendar. Looking forward to it!
Will you be doing the 2 day qualifier in Michigan? We have one in NY this year too and the ISDT RR is in Ohio so all doable for you.

What is everyones take on if the 2015 Husky Gathering was moved earlier from 9-11 October to 4-6 September.

works for me too, cause by October there maybe snow on the ground LOL

No can do. The MI event is the weekend of our annual family get together in upstate NY (Although I might sneak to the grass track MX ACR/AHRMA NE race at Broome Tioga that Sunday as it is not too far away). I have conflicts for the other two events as well. NY is the same weekend as the Jack Pine National Enduro in MI (Finally talked a couple buddies into riding it...) and OH is the same weekend as the PVMX AHRMA National at Lake Sugar Tree in VA.

We got a mixed response on the public postings here but we got alot more in private messages that the OCT dates are better than labor day so we will not change and will use the October dates as planned. Sorry to have dashed any hopes for those that September works better for you.

Joe

Don't hit me with the negative waves man

I believe the ISDTRR is labor day weekend, September 5-6 in Ohio. That's where my husky will be. I would love to get to a gathering one of these years. If it was October I would make it.
