• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TE/TC 2015 TE 250 review. The good the bad and the ugly with video

In checking out my riding some of the blame has to go to my style. I am going to drill one hole in the top of the rear brake caliper app 1/2 inch to remove heat. Relocate the unboltable pedal portion to the bottom of the pedal and change to Motul brake fluid. Should be fine. I am guilty of being a bad brake dragger:excuseme:

suggestion/consideration shorten the push rod??

Just going by that opening post, you guys are alot more in-tune with your bikes than I am ... My bikes bounce straight is about my tuning level :) ... I should add I boil my brakes also ... My fix was to learn how to ride a bike without riding the brake. Not a 100% fix but I do go a little faster I think.

That last video looked really out there and like moon-riding with those walls so close and steep and jagged looking. One thing about that riding is nothing is hidden from sight ...

Age 50? Been there and it was ok and was just starting to quit all my self-generated responsibilities ... Age 57 seems a little better in a few ways ... Body and mind are a little slower (as expected) and retirement monies are on the cusp of releasing ... Never actually thought the latter would actually happen. Had to quit responsibility. I did my share. The oh-so responsible ones can run and have the show.

Sounds good and I envy you a bit! I have a 25 19 and a 5 year old......whoops.....And being self employed no 401 or great plan so I'll have to drive on with the mission and possibly be a Walmart greeter at age 70 if I live that long....:banghead: Yea riding is awesome but a little weird without trees all over the place.

Thats why I don't trust kick starters. I'm going to take it off now to save weight :)

Oh come on....ha ha..... That must of been the chinese made kickstart lever they bought in the middle of production because they failed to pay the other supplier.......Ha Ha just kidding a funny fluke my buddy was pretty pissed as for some reason it was the highlight of my day. I had to take off right away because I was laughing so dam hard I thought he might get mad. PS the first couple days his rear shock was leaking and his fork seals then the kickstart lever broke......Hw was thinking about selling it for a minute and if I could of swooped it up for 3K I would of been a happy camper! Hes ok with it now the shock and fork seals quit leaking........Hey dirtbiking is expensive lol:doh:

At least you sound like you know what you are doing ... More than alot of us can say ...

Once I get into riding a place that's so cool like that, I'll just slow up and look around at that stuff ... ESP on the first trip through ... Was that water in the bottom making the dry spots slick?

Word to bank on ...if you show up here and your GF does not have a baby? Guess what you are good for? Children here are the parents security for later in life. You've been warned. This was all decided well before I got here 5yrs ago ...

If she is young without a child and you do not wanna have a baby, you best move on because it is not gonna work out. There are about ~5 themes that seem to play out here over and over with foreigners and the gals ... I may not be breaking new ground but I'm not responsible for anything but my buttt and my bikes really.

You guys are a bigger man than me having all that responsibility and more power to you :)

get him some more grand kids he will warm up to you my poor father inlaw has 8 kids 23 grand kids 24 great grand kids and 9 great great grand kids stop and think about that you have grand kids that are grand parents :eek:

Ha Ha I think it is the fact he is only ten years older then me and the only two boyfriends she ever had kissed his :censored: and I was already my own established person....

I've got patience ...its a sign of getting old maybe? ... Not ready to be established just yet ...

Different specific cases of course with different people, but if they are wanting a ride to the states, you probably are on the wrong street corner ... I see that over here now but it's the low low percentage number here unless you are hanging at Angele City or some other foreigner hangout ... 98% of the girls that I know here do not wanna leave here. They will leave to get money but they are coming back home to family and don't really want to leave. They want you around and nakid ~50% of the time. Its like groundhog day but at night. Beware of this responsibility ... Duty calls ..Gotta go back upstairs ..

I gave a quick call to Halls today. When you push the bike up and down in the front there does seem to be a funny noise in the forks. Has not affected performance at all but sounds like sticky fork seals or???They said possibly the fork spring is shifted a tish and to monitor it closely and if it gets worse I will have to send them the forks. Could be sticky fork seals I am not sure. The performance of the fork is spot on with no fade or changing in a 30 mile enduro loop.....

4cs make that sound. I asked mxtech when I dropped mine off and he gave some long explanation about check valves and rods and, uhhh I can't remember the rest. I was told it's normal in stock form.

click click click goes the 4CS....yes mine have done it from day one and still do it after my zipty mod. sounds like a loose no preload spring...but I for sure know its not that.

picture for you to see the ZipTy reservoir extender and ZipTy cap to pipe clearance (yes bike is dirty, been riding the crap out of it)

That reservoir extender provides a way to hold more fluid in the system to help keep fluid temp down or is there something else at play there?

Yep I'm ordering one this week (whatever halls sells),changing to motul race fluid and like my gas gas I believe I'm going to drill as big a hole as I feel comfortable drilling in the caliper...oh yea like the Gasser I'm having the rear pedal foot piece relocated to the bottom of the pedal instead of on top as is stock...
