• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TE/TC 2015 TE125 ride report.

I would love to trade my 300 for a TE125 or 200..... there was a guy that had a 200 here but sold it before I gathered up the money.... hmmm

I've been running jetting according to the manual, with supplied needles and jets. I have a Lectron, but bike runs so well, I hardly feel a need to use it. I use VP 94 Octane SEF, with good results. People laugh at me, because it is pricey, but it's very consistent and I have no jetting problems, like other people post all the time.

Pump gas in NY is a crap shoot.... 10% ethanol is a joke, as samples show up to 25% ethanol in some. Non-ethanol a better choice? Most is sold in mixing pumps and up to the first 4 gallons can be the fuel grade, that was pumped previously! You pump 5 gallons of 91 ethanol free and you can still be getting 4 gallons of 87, with 25% ethanol in it!

FB friend John Dunn, drove all the way from CT to NY GNCC and his FE501 quit first lap, due to bad Sunoco 93, he bought in NY. Long drive and a race ruined.... That's why I use VP.... Jet it and forget it and no carb/running related problems!

Plus... It smells so good! Joe Chod was catching a buzz, as I fueled up before the GNCC!

Still in love with this little bike!

The TE125 is going to get the KTM 150 XC treatment soon. I bought the parts, slightly used from a guy who converted his 150XC to a 200. It will make up for my deficiencies as a rider, in the more technical stuff!

To me it seems even though your working the clutch and shifter more that the less power and less weight wears me out much less....
You and I are on the same page Ron. I'm having flashbacks, to how my '00 WR250 sat collecting cobwebs, after I bought my '02 WR125. I'm not even tired, after racing the TE125, even though I'm working all the time riding it. The TE250 is pretty much relegated to club trail work bike, at this point in time. E-start and Rekluse, are very handy for arrowing and hauling a chainsaw.

Hey racemx904 I've got an 09 165 down in Lexington that isn't seeing much use if you're interested. Not many hours on the 165 top end. Let me know my schedule is pretty free if you wanna give it a rip.
