• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2016 FIM Motocross World Championship

He would have HATED racing against Barcia when he was on a 250. Or, maybe even the nagging "under the skin" stylings of Vince Friese.

I was also thinking of Barcia. I can't wait to see Herlings against some fierce harsh competitors but as Cairoli seems back lo life, the 450 #1 ktm spot could still be his for another year...

Cairoli is looking very good. Great racing again last weekend, had to go watch MX2 race 1 again today. That Ferrandis/Herlings battle is classic. And Bernadini ran 2nd ahead of Herlings for 5 laps

Can't wait for the next race. My son texted me from school this morning, a buddy of his was training with his 125 at a track 5 miles from here , we live at the french belgian border, and he was passed by a rocketeer, scrubing, riding strong, etc... that was jeremy van horebek :)

That is great to hear! When The Kid (Yes, that's what we call him - he even answers to it) was in high school he'd often send those same text messages.

That's the way it is where we live also. On the weekends we ride a place called Cahuilla Creek MX. Can often see the pros and regions top amateurs out on the main track ripping it up.

Good to hear even all the way across the pond things are the same when it comes to moto and the excitement it brings.

The gppro clip from AC222 makes it look even worse. But also you can see Febvre stick his arm out just at Cairoli goes by or it would have been a clean and harmless pass. Febvre was up and racing on Sunday and haven't heard anything about injury or complaint.

Febvre actually has two broken bones in the elbow area, small injury but still painful. He did not believe in Cairoli's words when he said he had no visibility and posted a "WTF" to illustrate the video on his fb page. Now, it is true that he stuck his arm out when AC passed and not much the italian could do then to avoid contact... Nevertheless, I don't believe mx has a friendly lovebears' atmosphere, there is so much at stake, and RF461 as more foes every week, especially the yamaha riders . Van horebek deliberately hit febvre from the rear recently due to some girly talking both had on the grid , and I heard that Valentin Guillod also had some remorse , febvre having crossed him out last year when yamaha rinaldi were looking for a new rider to hire. Sow wind, reap storm

The younger posts his rides on Hookit a bit too.

A friend of mine was up at Chaney Ranch the Wednesday before Nats taking some shots of the guys. Peick w/a scrub at about 1" (not a typo) off the ground.

He said those guys were rippin'.

You are so true.... I always tried to fly below the radar when I was racing.... Came in, went to the line, finished, went home.... My feeling is the more you make drama off the track, and the more you make drama on the track the less guys are going to give a crap what happens to you on and off the track... I always had a weird style that most called very aggressive... I always raced tight and close but there was times I COMPLETELY punted them but I also didn't cry if I got the same back.... and if you wanted me to move over like MA800 for the pass you were wrong you had a fight on your hands.... andif you did the moves I considered outside racing like T-Bone or "chicken" and Bradshaw block pass by just stopping in the track you could expect a knobby or 3 in your face....

Amazes me that Febvre was heads and tails faster last year and now 243 is killing them....

What is up with Anstie? one race you cant touch him the next hes cruising around in 20th.... Husky needs a real MX2 guy....

There is some talking about Paulin signing with husqvarna next year in mxgp. Mixed feelings. Even though he ended up 2nd overall in 2015, I can't help considering him a spent force.

Sure. How can Anstie be so ON/OFF ? And how about Covington? Both really disappointing so far.

Big names don't always equal big results. In San Diego, for example, the Padres (Major League Baseball) spent a bunch of money to acquire Matt Kemp form the LA Dodgers and he was an absolute bust.

Sure, a big name, but his best years were in LA.

I think Anstie needs to spend more time training at Cahuilla Creek MX out here. A day at Cahuilla can work wonders for one's mental health. Hey, works for me anyway :D.

I think 2 of Ansties 4 DNFs were bike problems but still... beginning of the year he was near the front now hes just gone....

I personally like Seewer, Paturel and really like Ferrandis.....
