• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TE/TC 2017 fuel tanks

I'm looking for a new oversize fuel tank for a 2017 TE300.

I can't find anything available. Has anyone been able to find one yet?

Yes!
I was able to order the new IMS 3.6 from Slavens.
Unfortunately I went to fit it the other night only to find out that you also need to delete the thermostat.
So I just ordered the delete kit, hoses and clamps from them as well.
I believe acerbis has a 3.0, but that was not enough for me.
I had the 4.1 acerbis on my 2015. I like the color of acerbis better, a nicer white, than the IMS, that is more yellowish.

It is so new there might not be a listing. Just give them a call.
When I did , they were just coming out of production at IMS.
Jeff had to call them directly to get some in stock.

Sure! If you take the tank off!
Actually on the Right hand side there is still a little bit of room to do it, not much though.
But realistically, I am running 80:1, I should not be fouling a plug very often, and you can have the tank off in less than 5 min so no big deal there.

That really looks pretty good for an over capacity tank. The nice thing about mine is I can get to the plug easy. The bummer is that it's only 3.2 or so, not 3.6.
