• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TE/TC 2017 TX 300

No kidding! Carbs, 4CS forks.......comments like "its un-rideable"..........with the stock carb, or forks....are you kidding me!?

When I think of the inferior (in fear of your) equipment I use to ride fast back in the old days.....todays bikes are a dream.

My 86 KX500........old 89 CR500.......or even an old Suzook TM400 Cyclone. Gawd!

Just ride!!! Unless your a pro or AA rider........it's all a moot point. Close enough for most mortals!

I disagree^^^^^ I was a decent speed Senior A guy and my 14' TE300 forks sucked ass big time.... I went back to my 86 430xc with 43mm WP forks on it.....

Mikuni is a good carb.... my WR300 and all my husky 125/144/165 have them without an issue..... like Robert said stop piddling with your bike and ride the damn thing....

As far as the forks for me.... its a safety thing.....

Living and riding in MN where we ride in temps from 95 degrees down to -10, you couldn't pay me enough to use a TMX. Maybe they are better now? I suspect Keihin switching focus to efi is the real reason though. Or maybe Lectron is paying KTM to do this?

I don't care what issues it has...my 15 forks sucked so I sent em out and problem is solved and I absolutely love that bike! So I'm sure I'll have one of these in time! They all have things we personally don't like about them but that doesn't mean this bike isn't gonna be efffing sweet!

Meh, I'm not overly fussed on the 2016 mx look of the 17....
Hope someone I know buys one so I can snatch a ride to compare to my '16.

isnt the TX going to be the same as KTM's XC Model the one with linkage, does say in the description its designed for closed circuit racing and cross country, and not enduro like the TE models Thats why it has the AER forks so closed circuit racing usually involves some MX style jumps .
My bet is the TE models will keep the 4Cs or go to the new WP Xplor forks, which where just released on the new KTM's but they look like they a similar design to 4CS

Im having my second thoughts on the TX version due to the SX/MX AER forks. The TE now has the latest evolution "X-Plor" forks, from what I understand are well done very evolved 4CS types.

ewc teams want to race them, they always seem to be on the 6 month into the year plan with their factories, especially Farioli KTM (and of course now Husky factory team

Placed a deposit on one Friday can't wait to get the bike. Hoping the AER forks don't suck and am alittle worried about them.If i don't like them i'll be looking into putting my 4cs forks on it and go from there.
