Yes me too. These bikes are way to lean, which makes them run hot and not pull like they should,
a PCV, map3, plus getting rid of the catylitic converter muffler not only let's the bike run cooler, run
as designed before being dogged down by smog controls. Most of the mods that a lot of us do are just to
let the bike run like its supposed to, my bike with a PCV, $300, an FMF $300, allows my 511 to putt through single
track without a thought of flameouts/dying, runs cooler, and all things being equal, should last longer.
It's no different than the the jet kit I put in my DRZ because it lean surges due to EPA requirements.
More horespower is just a result of efficiency. I am no racer, anymore, at 58, I just want them bike to
run just like you seamless, easy starting, the snappy power is nice though, it will loft, that front wheel
over a log with the flick of my wrist, or surprise some kid on a CRF450 at track days. It really is just boys
playing with their toys, if your happy with it that's the goal. Suspension, handguards etc, we're the
first things I addressed.
